Description

Houghton Towers is a tower located at [4,24], in the suburb of Peddlesden Village.

Houghton Towers, the former base for the not so well known Mariachi Laser-Pumas, was a well defended keep of honor and bravery. Given the nickname Arx Dei Casei, it withstood many a zombie assault.

Current Status

Outside
You are standing outside Houghton Towers, a narrow yellow-stone building surrounded by burnt-out cars. The building's doors have been left wide open, and you can see that the interior of the building has been ruined for some time.

There is a mobile-phone mast on the roof of the building.

Inside

History

From the brochure:

"The high tech Houghton Towers are set near the centre of beautiful Peddlesden Village. The Houghton Towers are part of a modern industrial park, and include amenities such as on-site security, high speed internet backbone, and its own cellular base station. Houghton Towers also features 4 floors of underground parking and extensive landscaped gardens. Nearby amenities include The Steel Hotel, a modern high-tech hotel situated across the road, the Harbord Arms, a stylish boutique brewery set in the middle of the downtown area, and the Metcalfe Library, a dedicated technical library, recently purchased by the Houghton Towers Industrial Group. Houghton Towers was recently—"

The building was held as a base by the Mariachi Laser-Pumas for some time. This group was attempting to slowly take back the suburb, or at least key parts of it, for human control and use. Their plan was to do so through their distracting, out-of-tune, Mariachi singing. While the Zombies are distracted, they will be shot, or lasered. Unfortunately, they picked a suburb patrolled by The Dead.
