Description

Malton Police Department

Oram Walk Police Department is a police department located in the suburb of Gibsonton. The station is one of two PDs in the suburb. In the months, and years, following the "Malton Incident" survivors have done their best to make use of the firearms and other resources abandoned by local law enforcement to help in their fight against the zombie hordes.

Oram Walk was one of the first commonly known safehouses after the quarantine of Malton. Originally led by Daxx, it was a haven for survivors until the remnants of the zombie horde that assaulted the forts and a rash of murder forced the survivors to scatter. Oram Walk has been used as a temporary safehouse several times since then with various degrees of success.

After the abandonment of Oram Walk Police Department, when it was attacked by a zombie force of considerable strength, the building lay dormant until March 2006, when the Special Air Service reclaimed the building as a part of Operation: Omega Dragon. In the time since survivors, many still scattered from the building previous fall, have begun to return to the building.

Mandate

1) To serve and protect all survivors within a 3x3 block grid of the precinct.
2) To maintain resource building barricades at Very Strongly.
3) To maintain non-resource building barricades within a 3x3 block grid at Extremely Heavily. These buildings will act as safe houses for Free Runners attacking zombie groups in the area.

Barricade Policy

This building should be Extremely Heavily barricaded at all times. This is in accordance with the mutually agreed-upon Gibsonton Barricade Plan set forth by local survivor groups, who routinely work together to monitor that the barricades for this building are at the aforementioned level. This building is meant to serve as a safehouse for Malton's veteran survivors.

Survivors who find the building's barricades below their assigned level are asked to assist in raising them back up in order to help ensure the safety of all the survivors staying inside the building.

History

October 17, 2019 Oram Walk still stands, several survivors huddle within. Do You Remember Oram? is sprayed on the wall.

February 7, 2014 Oram Walk is controlled by the zombie cult, Tambazi Ufu, who have resurfaced in Gibsonton for the first time since the early outbreaks.

February 22, 2011 Oram Walk is EHB with 11-14 zeds outside, six to seven survivors inside.

December 25, 2010 - Oram Walk PD is currently at EHB; lights are on, the Christmas tree is lit, and the egg nog is flowing freely! Entry point next-door at the Brockliss Building. Merry Christmas!--Harm A Biff 03:51, 25 December 2010 (UTC)

May 22, 2010 - Bldg is Extremely Heavily Barricaded. Brockliss Bldg nextdoor is Ruined. Gain entry from Buckrell Arms. -- Ganyiki 21:23, 22 May 2010 (BST)

November 24th, 2009 - The building is completely ruined, as are the surrounding buildings.--Mootoast 02:46, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

May 26th, 2008 - The building is VSB and powered. It is, however, under attack by pk'ers and parachuters. --Ioncannon11 14:49, 26 May 2008 (BST)

February 1st, 2008 - This location is considered a minor base of operation in Gibsonton for the Malton Police Department Vigilantes even though their normal ops are in Santlerville. Sources say that there are no plans for them to try to make this location as a permanent BOP, as they prefer it the way it is.

November 30th, 2007 - Something should be done concerning the barricade plan, this building is dedicated to low levels and is actually kept VSB. -- Waughn 09:21, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

April 14th, 2007 - Metal Fox has declared the police station as their field base, jointly shared with all survivors. Survivots interested in joining the group as asked to check out the group's forums.

December 1st, 2006 - The building's barricade status has been upgraded to Extremely Heavily (EHB) with the Buckrell Arms being made the official entry point for the police station.

August 14th, 2006 - The barricade plan is currently considered unhelpful advice, as Oram Walk is being maintained at EHB, with the Buckrell Arms being the closest entry point for survivors.

June 22nd, 2006 - Oram Walk PD has been declared as the Malton Police Department's headquarters in Gibsonton; to serve as the primary base of operations for District NW-1. All Cops are requested to report in to MPD Command on the forum as soon as possible. Survivors are reminded not to over-barricade this building! It should be maintained as an accessible safe house and free running entryway, and as such the barricades should be maintained at Very Strongly (VS+2). See the Uniform Barricading Policy for more details.

March 6th, 2006 - Attempts are being made by the Special Air Service to reclaim the station as a part of Operation: Omega Dragon, which aims to re-establish the building as a stronghold. Also, attempts are being made to the revive and unite the survivors of Oram Walk PD as a cohesive group. Further notice will be posted regarding these developments.

July 8th, 2005 - Daxx assists survivors in establishing Oram Walk PD as a survivor stronghold. Numerous zombie attacks continue to impede these efforts, but Daxx believes that the survivor spirit is strong and they will hold out against all odds in the long run.
