Qizilbash
The Qızılbaş "Red Heads" are name given to a Perso-Turkic Shi'ite militant group. Their name is derived from their traditional distinctive crimson 12-pointed headwear, indicating their adherence to the twelve Imāms, although they do not wear this in Malton, Monroeville or Boringwood.
Origins
Shaykh Haydar Ṣafawī founded the sect, and his daughter Hājar has inherited his title of shaykhah and status of imāmah.
As they charge into battle, sect members shout Hājarun waliyatu l-Lāhah!, a reference to the divine sanction of their shaykhah-imāmah.
Tombs are Shrines
The sect reveres all holy grounds.

Immanence of the Divine
The Qızılbaş have encountered and embraced an aspect of the Imāmah immanent in Malton through a mummified crocodile imported from Egypt. She appears in the form of the Πετεσοῦχος, or "Child of Soukh", a name for the living avatar of the Crocodile. The divine spirit moved naturally to the nearest living crocodile after being carried past the Malton Zoo during the outbreak, and each Πετεσοῦχος has been stuffed and kept as a divine icon after death.

Tanāsukh "Reincarnation"
The Qızılbaş regard their leader as divinely empowered. They believe that their shaykhah has the power over life and death. Naturally, they thus move ecstatically through human and zombie state, reveling in the power of their beloved Shaykhah-Imāmah.
