Shufflebotham Boulevard Fire Station
Description
You are standing outside Shufflebotham Boulevard Fire Station, a large white-stone building with pillars along its front.
You are inside Shufflebotham Boulevard Fire Station.
Famous as "The building where The Boss stays when he visits Malton," the Bruce building is a temple to all things Springsteen. Barefoot zombie girls sit on the hood of a Dodge in the soft summer rain outside. Recently, scores of Scots and extras from the movie Braveheart have been making trips to the building in honor of another Bruce, Robert the Bruce of Scotland. Mixing with the legion of Springsteen fans, the kilted throng joins in chants of "BRUUUCE" and "Stand Sure, The Bruce!"
History
The fire station has been the starting point for many a new firefighter and is kept as a survivor entry point to help out these new characters who may not have free running. Fire Brigade 47 formed from these new fire fighters and though not many of the members still stay in the building overnight you can find them stopping in from time to time to help cade the place up, maintain the generator, and kick some zombie butt. Survivors using this building as a base should keep a radio tuned to 27.53 to keep track of the zombie situation in the neighborhood. Also note the revive point 3 blocks East at Ames Plaza is conveniently placed and fast paced to help out with the pesky early game deaths. The fire station is also about to be safehouse for the Mountain Meddlers, who intend to make it a place for survivors to rest.
In more recent times, it fell under the protection of the Acourt Arms Alliance. This building is traditionally considered an Entry Point.
Barricade Policy
Per the Earletown Barricade Plan, this building should be set to VSB+2.
Current Status
The current status of the building presented as news by survivors.
- July 10, 2016 Building's become the safehouse of the Mountain Meddlers leader, who is staying overnight at the Acourt Arms. Still safe, VSB. Planning to make it into a rest stop. Let's hope this works. -Mountain Meddlers
- October 10th, 2009 Just swing by the firestation, totally ruined with doors wide open. Fell and injured myself free-running to the building. Don't have the APs to repair the building so retreating to pullinger repair shop to recoup. Will try to repair the building when rested up.
- September 9th, 2008 The fire station is currently in dismay. 1 zombie inside, and 3 survivors. The only protection is closed doors. - Jared Young 12:44, 10 September 2008 (BST)
