Description

Inside

You are inside St Lazar's Hospital, dark corridors leading through abandoned wards. The building has been completely ransacked, and has fallen into ruin. The doors to the street have been left wide open.

Outside

You are standing outside St Lazar's Hospital, a narrow grey-stone building with black crosses painted across its doors. The building's doors have been left wide open, and you can see that the interior of the building has been ruined.

History

St. Lazar's Hospital sits in an older section of West Becktown, next to the Whippey Place Fire Station. Whippey and St. Lazar's both missed the area renovation project, as shown by the modern Hardstaff Bank and Curle Street Police Department, that came to a screeching halt when the zombie outbreak began, and thus suffers mightily in the architectural department compared.

Its close proximity to two junkyards hasn't helped its image as one of the most neglected hospitals in Malton, and in pre-zombie days, it was the place that druggies and gang members were brought after their shootouts and shoot-ups at nearby Caiger Mall. Thankfully, the medical staff has improved considerably since then, as the partnership with nearby Oxley NecroTech ramped up just ahead of the zombie outbreak.

Now, the hospital is the sole medical facility for much of West Becktown and portions of East Becktown, Darvall Heights and Chudleyton, as well as the closest facility to Caiger Mall. This lays a great deal of responsibility on the staff to keep things operational.

Barricade Policy

Hospitals are considered important Tactical Resource Points and are usually kept at Very Strongly barricaded, to allow survivors without Free Running to enter.
