Description

St. Spyridon's Church is a church situated in the suburb of Yagoton. Prior to the outbreak, it served as a religious place for those shopping at Bale Mall. This church is named after St. Spyridon, who were born in a peasant family around 270 AD. He entered a monastery shortly after the death of his wife. He is said to have saved both Corfu, which he is the patron saint of, and Venice from destruction.

History

There is still a large supply of literature in the church and survivors in Yagoton occasionally find themselves preached to, not by the Disciples of Zeko, but by the Bale Mall Elite, particularly the faction associated with DonnieBaker. More recently, it has become home for one Brian Foley who uses it to heal the wounded of the area, and to preach the good word to any that will listen. It has recently been discovered that the mad preacher Foley has shaken off his insanity and is searching the ruined city for a new home. Last week (Oct 28th 2022), a soldier claiming to have travelled from the South East spoke of meeting a Brian T Foley who told him he was moving back to a place of worship in Yagoton where he used to help the sick. The story cannot be verified.
