Suggestion description
I'm not sure i used the template right, since it looks pretty confusing, but i Do have a good idea:
As of right now, a "ranged" weapon is no different from a "meelee" weapon, except by damage and percentages (which other meelee weapons differ on those things anyway). So, to make ranged weapons (i.e., the pistol, shotgun, and flare gun) more unique and useful, you should be abe to shoot at something from a block away. This, however, will HALF the % chance to hit AND the damage done; so if i shot a zombie from a block away, i would have a 33% (it rounds up) to do 3 damage, which is LESS than the fire axe and STILL requires ammunition. However, it DID keep me out of harms reach by staying one block away from the zombie i was shooting. This would not work inside BTW, so PLZ no1 shout "AAUUGGH X-RAY VISION!! AUUGH!! SPAM SPAM SPAM!!".
To target someone from a block away, it would just appear on your dropdown list, but if the person was a block away, it would have a (b) or something next to them, to indicate the % and damage penalty. Example:
Attack: Cheesehead
Poopdude Strangeguy (b)
That would let them know if they are targeting a person a block away or not. To target a zombie / zo,bie horde, it would read like this.
Attack: A zombie
A Zombie (1S) (1 South) A zombie (1E) (1 East)
If there is a horde there, you wouldn't be able to target which zombie to atttack, but you can't do that anyway. I know this was allot of writing, but plz read it ALL b4 voting, and if i did the template wrong, plz fix it somebody, since i really do think this is a good idea. Peace!

- Kill I can almost forgive not using the template (I added it for you), but please proofread your suggestion next time and don't use internet abbreviations. Those are for chatrooms only. As far as the suggestion itself goes, it's pointless because any survivor would just move in, shoot, and move out again, saving himself tons of AP and ammo. The only reason he wouldn't is if the zombie he's attacking is currently logged in and might attack him, in which case the zombie will come and attack him. Because I can see this being almost workable if accuracy and power weren't halved, I voted Kill, not Spam. By the way, do you know how a shotgun works? It'd be completely ineffective a block away. --Magentaine 21:11, 20 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill - You stop abbreviating your words, or I will personally hunt you down in-game and maul/hump your soon to be dead body. Anyway, kill because it's too much of a sniper rifle effect. And it gives us Survivors a distinct advantage over us Zombies.-- dǝǝɥs oʇ ɯɐds: sʎɐʍ1ɐ! 21:17, 20 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill - As above --Duke GarlandTLCD SSZ 21:26, 20 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill Like i've said many times before to many other new members, it works a lot better if you play the game for a while and stay more on the suggestions talk page before you post your first suggestion. Get a feel of things before you suggest something.--Seventythree 22:39, 20 June 2007 (BST)
- Kill With Extreme Prejudice -- Standard "Play the game before you try to change it" boilerplate with a "What did the English language do to you that you'd want mistreat it so?" rider. -- Firemanrik 22:57, 20 June 2007 (BST)
RE: Hey, i have been playing the game for awhile (since august of 2005), so yes, i KNOW very well how to play the game (didn't feel like using my mains' name on the wiki, it is pretty weird). Plz don't insult me like that, but yes, i admit, i AM new to the wiki. TY for not spamming, and would you guys vote "keep" to this if the Damage and stuff was not halved, but only worked for pistols?? --Bruce Torbaron 23:14, 20 June 2007 (BST)
