XP Level Up

Timestamp: •▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 21:23, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
Type: Excess XP use
Scope: Anyone with excess XP
Description: This is more of a Version 2 to my original ages ago, which somehow I can't seem to find...

Right now, there's no use for excess XP. What I propose is that the excess XP should be used to gain 1 level. It will appear under both the survivor and zombie skill tree as Level Up. The skill can not be bought unless you're Level 20, due to the fact some characters max level will be in the low 20, like members of the Roftwood Assault Force, since they have a rule that prohibits anyone with zombie skills to join. In order to Level Up, you must spend 1000 XP to "purchase" it. It won't be a one time thing. You can "purchase" a level increase whenever you want, just as long as you have 1000 XP.

Discussion (XP Level Up)

When my original was here, some people suggest that titles should be involved. Anyone still feel that way? --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 21:23, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

Hey, Axe Hack, this is a REALLY good idea. It's not a boost like most of the suggestions are. It's just a level that makes you feel superior! BoboTalkClown 21:25, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

And this would contribute to the group-ratings! --Midianian|T|T:S|C:RCS| 21:32, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

Huzzah! A false feeling of superiority! I'd vote keep on it. --The Trichloroethane Potato SGP E! RQ! Winner 1! 22:06, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

I think burning XP for the sake of burning XP is kinda lame. I can understand feeling the need to do something with it, but once you max out maybe just think of it like your score in the game? I mean, you get a score in pinball or Super Mario 1. Does it do anything? No. Can you use it? No. But it's nice that it's there. Maybe make a "high score" gallery? Or you can even have rankings for "most efficient use of AP", like take total XP earned and divide by the total AP used, multiply by 1000 or so and have that be a person's score. So, if I used 15,000 AP and earned 10,000 XP (including what I spent on skills), my score would be 666 points. Make it so a person has to earn at least 500 XP before getting a score, to prevent people from starting a new character just so they can get a "lucky hit" right off the bat to claim the high score. Or, yeah, just giving people different titles after they've earned so much XP could work, too. --Ms.Panes 22:29, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

no offense, but I like Funt's prestige Idea better--CorndogheroT-S-Z 23:10, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

Mine is older. But I won't change your mind. To everyone else...Uh...titles? Like what many in my previous one wanted? Should I add that in? When I say titles, I mean like Lv 1-50, you have no title, Lv51-60, you're title could be, I don't know...Private? Help me out here...By the way...if someone manages to find my original, I'll give them a crackpipe. Or a money tree. Or a cookie...I think it's in Undecided but I can't find it. Look in the 2006 pile. It should be there somewhere... --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 00:13, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

I like it Axe, it would mean that the older, more experience players could show that experience, and it gives something for newbies to aim for. Kudos. And i had a look for your previous suggestion, but it seems to have disappeared, so no crack pipe for me! Acoustic Pie 11:33, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

I like it. But its part of a huge circle shaped thing. I see the day when all xp's will have to be reset before new skills can be implemented, to stop the gulf between nubes and veterans increasing. Maybe have an overall limit on xps to um, I dont know (cost of all skills)+ 200? --Rosslessness 21:22, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

Hm...how about...This level up thing can only be bought once a week? And the original is no longer around? That can't be... --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 23:32, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

Gnome's vote

When a newbie sees the skill tree and spots that Level Up skill, he'll know why a character is so high a level. --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 02:09, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

not complety true, some things go unnoticed for awhile, and they may still think it gives some sort of bonus. Easily avoided with the wiki but not all information makes it past on time, and if they don't actually read that part well... A description saying there's no bonus can also lead to this but then some people may see that and get the impression with useless function's, a poor game full of them will follow, and most other players can still keep there massive xp bonuses, and probably will. Personnely right now im undecided.--Zach016 02:43, 4 December 2007 (UTC) seemingly useless i should say--Zach016 16:00, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
Was I asking you? --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 23:22, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
is this a discussion? do you want to convince me to vote keep? do i have an opinon? will this affect me if implemented? if the answer to any of these questions are yes, then yes you were asking me and every other player.--Zach016 00:22, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
I believe I was asking Gnome...By the way...I'm about to pull this for revision and add in something to make sure the newbie don't get confuse and stuff...But I'll do that after kill vote 10. Just 1 to go... --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 00:26, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
ethier way this is a discusion area and i happen to have an opinon on it, where i can express my concern's. In this case i agreed with Gnome, and can discuss or defend his points in the discussion section. Your response was in response to Gnomes vote, my response is in the same and therefore can post here. Next time i could make a new section to discuss the same things if you would like? ethier way it goes to the same end--Zach016 00:30, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
That would kinda work with me...Now where is that 10th kill? --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 00:32, 5 December 2007 (UTC) Screw it...I'm not gonna bother to remove it. It'll most likely head to undecided anyway... --•▬ ▬••▬ • •••• •▬ ▬•▬• ▬•▬ #nerftemplatedsigs 10:59, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
