Tell New Zombies Where Doorless Buildings Are
Timestamp: | Ms.Panes 16:35, 5 January 2008 (UTC) |
Type: | Starting info |
Scope: | New zombies |
Description: | It's been awhile since I started my zombie character, so I don't remember what info you get when you start. If this isn't already there, I think it should be included.
Basically, when you're first a zombie, it should tell you which buildings don't have doors. Reading the wiki, it seems junkyards, churches, and cathedrals are the only ones. As such it should say something along the lines of, "Until you get the Memories of Life skill, you can either wait for a zombie with that skill to let you into a building, or you can attack junkyards, churches, and cathedrals, which don't have doors." I think that could be worded a lot better, though. Also, it should give you the same info again the first time you knock a barricade down all the way outside of a building with doors (if you don't have MoL yet). You can't get in anyway, so you'll have time to read it, and it's a very helpful reminder for when you're just about to get frustrated with the game. |
Discussion (Tell New Zombies Where Doorless Buildings Are)
Interesting, I recently started a zombie alt and was quite suprised to see the information! Something like this is good to put in the starting info. Gives those newbie zombies a bit to chew on! However I think that instead of all the way (Which i'm guessing is from EHB - 0) just to have it from the time when the zombie breaks it to the doors ie, from loosely. But yeah, a nice touch. Wouldn't really go a miss at all. (and you don't have to sign your suggestions at the end, it's already at the top). Acoustic Pie 16:58, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's what I meant to say, when the zombie breaks it to the doors. Alright, since now I know that it's not in the starting info, all I have to do is come up with a better way to word it and I'll send it down to voting. --Ms.Panes 17:11, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
I suppose it's reasonable. I mean, it's not like it could hurt anything. The only possible voter opposition you could face would be that it's either "Common Sense" or "Too Trivial To Change" --TriPolarClicky! 19:19, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- In answer to that, I'm sure that not all UDers use the wiki and thus this would be useful to them. I mean with over 700k accounts, surely people will benefit from this. Only the narrow-minded wiki user would vote against it for being too trivial to change. Acoustic Pie 20:35, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
I put this to voting. How do I move this to the talk page there and put in the discussion template? Or is a sysop supposed to do that? --Ms.Panes 23:14, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- Put the following code on the talk page: {{Subst:User:Karek/ProjDev/Suggestions Talk|dis=}}, and copy and paste the entire content of your suggestion and discussion on this page onto the talk page after the word "dis=" but before the }}. Then look at the bottom of this page for how to show that it's gone into voting. Or just let me know if you can't figure it out and I can do it for you. --PdeqTalk* 23:22, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
