Suggestion talk:20080822 BARRICADE HOLES
I know I voted kill, but it's just my style to not vote Spam. This Suggestion is Spamtacularly Spamarific. If he'd bothered to submit it to Talk:Suggestions then he'd have found that out.
- Leave Barricades Alone
Barricades are a central mechanic at the core of Urban Dead. A turn based game requires its players to leave their characters unattended for long periods of time while they wait for their AP to recharge. Without barricades, survivors would not be able to protect themselves while they are gone. Barricades are designed to be easier to construct than to destroy because survivors need extra protection. Avoid suggestions that excessively weaken barricades or allow zombies to bypass them entirely.
From the basic Suggestion Dos and Do Nots guidelines that everyone should have read. Techercizer (Food) (TSoE) 02:13, 22 August 2008 (BST)
What made you think barricades have holes in the first place anyway? They're _inside_ the building, reinforcing the door. That's why even if you take down all the cades, if you don't have Memories of Life you still can't get in since the door is still closed even without barricades. --Aeon17x 03:14, 22 August 2008 (BST)
- What makes you think only the door is a way in? There should be a chance for entry by windows or other weak spots besides just the front door. And if the Barricades are all inside than how in the hell are zombies "breaking the cades" THROUGH the closed door that they can't open anyway?! The whole thing is assbackwards. The door should be the first thing ripped off its hinged by your own logic!--Zombie Lord 03:40, 22 August 2008 (BST)
- The cades are lodged behind the door. What's so hard to understand about that? And it takes way more force to actually rip off a door than, say, knock off a lead pipe supporting behind it. --Aeon17x 03:47, 22 August 2008 (BST)
- Thats a nice dodge and all, but come on. There more than lead pipes back there, there REFRIGERATORS and VENDING MACHINES. How are zombies knocking all these heavy items over INSIDE a building, but leaving the door perfectly secured?! The only thing is Kevin has never really explained all this, so its just what we decide to think. But honestly, its makes no sense at all if you think about it. Why do all the zombies in Malton line up behind the Main Door like they are in line for a concert or some silly shit like that and apparently "smash" barricades with telekinesis or something, while totally ignoring the rest of the building and all the ways they could maybe get in like especially WINDOWS.--Zombie Lord 03:53, 22 August 2008 (BST)
- In much the way a broken clock tells the correct time twice a day, ZL is actually right here. Barricades can be very reasonably assumed to be being built ALL OVER the building in question. However, you know, in almost every movie the last line of defense a breather has is they lock themsevles in some room behind a door... Hence, MoL... However, the thing you're both missing -- and that is REALLY relevant -- is that the game mechanics etc. are not supposed to be completely realistic simulations of reality. There is a very high level of abstraction built into every part this game. Deal. --WanYao 17:13, 22 August 2008 (BST)

Dont mess with cades answer
- Dude this is just bull. Kevan obviously thinks its cool to mess with Barricades, he put the new rules in to make Barricades harder to buld when zombies are inside a building, right? This auto Spam for the DOs and DONT's is just lazy thinking. Keven thinks its a DO to mess with cades. Open your minds guys. Stop being so sheepy.--Zombie Lord 02:32, 22 August 2008 (BST)
- Dude this is just bull.Zombie Lord obviously can read mind through the internet-*get killed by zombies* (It is not good to base your suggestion on "Kevan thinks it is cool" unless he vote a keep on your suggestion. How about some other answers?)P.S. I don't care about your suggestion, but I think this answer is just so.....*nevermind*. --Perne 11:00, 23 August 2008 (BST)

Talk:Suggestions answer
Dude, I read that page for awhile but its a total Troll fest. There aint no "suggestions" going on there for peoples ideas. Its just a place for trolls to have fun at flaming.--Zombie Lord 03:06, 22 August 2008 (BST)
- Duuuuuuuuude... You'd fit right in then.
- You see... here's the thing... Your suggestions are crap. They'll get flamed no matter where you post them. I dunno... have you thought about printing them up and seeing if your mom will stick them on the fridge, that might work? Or... get together with Jon Pyre, you two have soooo much in common, I'm sure you two could have some wonderful BFF emo moments together. --WanYao 17:21, 22 August 2008 (BST)
- Thanks for proving my point, you hypocritical troll.--Zombie Lord 00:54, 23 August 2008 (BST)
We're voting on whether or not to allow this suggestion to move on, not to give tons of feedback help fix your bad ideas. We could, but we don't HAVE to.--SirArgo Talk 17:42, 22 August 2008 (BST)
Aeon17x's cut put back
Dude, at least move it or strike it proper so you don't have to go through History to get it.
What Aeon17x cut:
- Naw, whats ridiculous is the idea that even a Lightly Barricaded building is totally impregnable until the Barricades are completely destroyed or that zombies must open a door to a building with Secured Doors. There would be easy to break windows on a building like that. This is totally in genre and would be a lot more fun. But that's just me, we can agree to disagree on all that but still, I think this should just be a Kill. Peace.--Zombie Lord 02:29, 22 August 2008 (BST)
- That's just a courtesy, which I declined to give to you. Either way, it's Spam because it's ridiculous, it allows you to bypass up to eleven levels of barricade with at least ten percent probability. That's all there is to it.
- Oh, and it's selection, not censorship. Your comment is gone because the rules that were made before you and I even knew of this wiki say it shouldn't be there in the first place. --Aeon17x 03:44, 22 August 2008 (BST)
- Fine, ok maybe I messed up on the rules, but since you didn't move it I figured you just didn't want to answer it at all. I changed the header to be less hostile.--Zombie Lord 04:02, 22 August 2008 (BST)
