Basic Info:

  • Train station. No trains are running.
  • Among the internal descriptions found in Railway Stations:
    • "Its platforms are empty, its departure boards blank, all trains having left the city during the evacuation."
    • "…a fire-damaged white-stone building surrounded by lawns. Behind railings, you can see railway tracks disappearing into the surrounding city."
  • This building can be barricaded normally.
This empty railroad station was once a part of the city's now extinct Malton Rail system.

Swabey Grove Railway Station is a rail station formerly serving northwestern Paynterton. It lies on the Purple Line between the junction at Rawlinson-Mechel and Corp Station.

The station was in the midst of a major face-lift when the infection started. Scaffolding, copies of The Sun, and an beaten up CD player can still be found--albeit bloodstained and worse-for-wear. Part of a mosaic remains beside the old newsagents. There are a strange number of dead fish laying on the track.

Description

Humans and zombies alike will see the following (permanent) description when standing outside the building:

"You are standing outside Swabey Grove Railway Station, a small concrete building with revolving doors. Behind railings, you can see railway tracks disappearing into the surrounding city."

Such a description is always followed by a report of the building's condition (e.g. the level of its barricades), but since that report is never permanent and always subject to change, it is redundant to include it here as well.

History

Barricade Policy

Extremely Heavily Barricaded per Paynterton Barricade Plan.
