Keep it Short

I already feel this article is to long. if anybody can make it shorter without loosing to much information that a person would reasonably need on the first day in Malton, please do so! ... 00:43, 21 June 2007 (BST)

This was a really good idea for an article. And good thinking mentioning what the barricade levels are called below very strongly barricaded. It's one of those things that's obvious after you've played the game for a while, but a newcomer wouldn't know about. --Toejam 01:52, 21 June 2007 (BST)

Not too long, just right. --  AHLGTG THE END IS NIGH! 02:02, 21 June 2007 (BST)

I think it could say a few words about avoiding suburbs that are Red in the danger map --People's Commissar Hagnat [cloned] [mod] 04:16, 21 June 2007 (BST)

Perhaps. I'd rather just throw in a link to the suburb (or NT Status) map at the proper place, and let folks figure it out over time. Remember, this is intended as a FAST guide for REALLY new players. They may not even know what a suburb IS. ... 04:39, 21 June 2007 (BST)

i would also add, and stress, that the very first thing a survivor should do is find a safehouse. then they can head out and start shooting at zeds

That's why one of the very first topics is "entering buildings", and almost every other topis includes a phrase like "be sure to get back inside." But I suppose its worth mentioning that if you might want to return to a building you found you could enter, rather than randomly hoping to find one when you need it... 15:15, 22 June 2007 (BST)

I think this guide is missing something.I want to clearify it now:NEVER,EVER sleep overnight in a Fort,Mall,Police Station or anything like that unless you want to find yourself dead the next time you log in.--Ratyoupop 10:22, 18 May 2009 (BST),5:21,18 May 2009

True, bodies pile up all around anyone who sleeps in such places, but that's just because there are so many people in them. Hiding in a junkyard won't protect you from PKers, it'll just make it look like there are none. Until one kills you, knowing that there aren't many people there to hold a grudge against him for it. --VVV RPMBG 01:29, 3 April 2010 (BST)

headings

Can we please stop using single = headings? No other pages (that I know of) use them, and you're not really supposed to use them, as they create a h1 heading, which is the same thing as the article title. While this does not mess up the in-article TOC, it does look kinda odd and kinda goes against XHTML guidelines (and makes for more horizontal lines close to each other). --Daranz.t.mod janitor.W(M)^∞. 17:45, 22 June 2007 (BST)

Sure. I wasn't aware of any of those things. if its such a problem, why do =single headings= tanslate that wya- why not have a single = give you what is now a doble heading and so on.
The only reason it has singles now is because I re-structured it to make the TOC look nice. ... 19:04, 22 June 2007 (BST)

Why bother?

What was the point of simply wiping out my changes without any warning? This page hasn't seen a lot of action and some notice and a response here would be appreciated. --UroguyTMZ 18:30, 29 June 2011 (BST)

In that case I'll just leave this version in place, typos and all instead of trying to fix it up again. --UroguyTMZ 01:30, 30 June 2011 (BST)

massive change made to guide

Does anyone want to help give their thoughts and help me vet this as an acceptable edit to a featured article?

As this is linked from the main page and was voted as a featured article, it’s important that the majority of the content isn’t changed without community approval. DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION 22:30, 24 October 2019 (UTC)

I did a big copyedit, mostly punctuation & phrasing clarification. I don't think the changes are such that the Featured status needs to be reviewed. It's mostly reordering and adding a few clarifications and details. Bob Moncrief EBDW! 14:49, 26 October 2019 (UTC)
