Spaminated with 7/8 Spam votes. -Mark 04:04, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
- Just so you know, if you are going to remove a suggestion because it was spammed (or whatever), you need to move it to the right section (in this case Peer Rejected).--Pesatyel 06:38, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, this shouldn't have been spaminated at all - it only had 6 spam votes (and 1 dupe, 1 kill, 1 author keep). Plus, you must now give a reason for spamination along with any removal. I'm reinstating it. --Funt Solo 10:25, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
- Plus, has the six hour time frame come into effect yet? It was just shy of that when removed, if I can tell time. (Which is a "big if" some days. lol) --Nosimplehiway 16:12, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
Zombie Weapon Use
Timestamp: | Pesatyel 06:59, 23 December 2006 (UTC) |
Type: | |
Scope: | Zombies |
Description: | Zombies have the ability to use weapons, but most never do. Why bother? Even a recent convert without Vigour Mortis has better Claw skills for the same damage. What I propose is the following:
The Weapon Dexterity skill is NOT required for the higher damage. |
Discussion
Given that tangling grasp will/should not work for this it probably won't get used much. That said i do fancy being able to really scare survivors with 6 damage!--Honestmistake 14:17, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
- Though I probably should say as much, Tangling Grasp DOESN'T work.--Pesatyel 18:28, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
Looks to me like a very good weapon for Death Cultists turned Zeds. I like it. Though I think damage should always be rounded down, not rounded up...--ShadowScope 15:01, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
You want to give Zombies the HtH skill? I'll make you a deal on behalf of all humans. Give humans Feeding Drag and we'll give this one. lol --Nosimplehiway 16:48, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
- The Hand to Hand skill would ONLY apply to this specific case and it would be the ONLY hit bonus. applicable. As I said above, without it a zombie would only have a 10% chance to hit with a bat. With it, it would be a 25% chance and that's it. Plus the expense of acquiring the Hand to Hand skill for some. As for our other comment, there is Nursing AND Fireman's Carry in Peer Review.--Pesatyel 18:28, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
Why does this require memories of life when zombies can use blunt weapons anyway? Does memories of life just give you the hand to hand skill bonus or what? d damage at 25% to hit gives an average of 1.5 per AP, which is rather a lot for a zombie without any vigor motis tree skills. Even 1.25 seems against a flack jacket seems a lot. If it only did 5 (or4 against a jacket) that would give 1.25/1.0 damage per AP, which seems a more reasonanle boost. PS I fixed the fault that was stopping the comment from being shown. The Mad Axeman 14:43, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
- I was figuring it should be a skill. I didn't think zombie should just suddenly be allowed to do that much damage. But yeah, it probably should be just an inherent ability (since nobody ever really USED it before, nobody noticed...). And, originally, I had thought 5 damage, but I figured people would just say "why not just use bite?" since it would be reduced to 4 by flak (and have a higher hit chance). What about a "partial" hand to hand of 10% instead of 15%? It would still be 6 damage but 1.2/1.0 per AP.--Pesatyel 18:28, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
I'm not sure if it should be 6 damage (5 might be better), but this is exactly what I was going for with my "Let's Give Zombie Weapons a purpose" suggestion. This doesn't make the zombie more powerful (the dmg/AP is lower than bites or claws), but at the same time it's like the zombie equivalent to the flare gun. Best of all, it gives survivors a reason to wear flak jackets besides PKer protection! --Reaper with no name TJ! 03:37, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
- Exactly what I was thinking. I'll see about submitting one of my ideas tomorrow.--Pesatyel 09:02, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
