Talk:The Status Reporters

A few things:

• Might want to define what a TRP is. Police departments, malls, hospitals, etc, are always included as one, but what about fire departments and auto repairs?
• Might want to strike out a suburb once it's done (I for one, did Dulston a while back, as well as Greentown. I know Vinetown is done too.)
• Why not give every suburb a building information center?

More likely is to try and get local groups on board. I update all the Greentown reports regularly, and Rosslessness does the Vinetown reports. More likely, we should just ask a local group (and, anyway, since they are TRP's they are updated quite often anyway.) Linkthewindow  Talk  10:23, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

Re:the BIC's, can I suggest making Building Information Centers a page, and making all the others subpages of it, like "Building Information Center/Gibsonton". This kind of organization seems to be the trend on the wiki lately. --Pestolence^(talk) 05:21, 31 December 2008 (UTC)

Nice work, here's more...

Hey chaps, nice job on adding these danger reports. It's nice to see people actually updating the categories and whatnot properly. Anyway, I thought you might like some extra work and...ok, joking, but it would be nice if somebody undertook it.

Some months ago, a template for ambiguous buildings status was made as part of the overhual of the MPM system. It's pretty awesome. Anyway, since you chaps have undertaken adding the missing reports, you might like to use this template when needed, and update any templates in use.

Here's an example implementation. The only differences are:

Before:

After:

{{{{{template|BuildingStatusDisambig}}}

Change the default template call in the top line, and add in the disambig variable, which is the same as the building name without the suburb name at the end (or co-ords or whatever it used to distinguish buildings with the same name).

You can find a list of building's with the same name on the Locations List page.

Basically, it's just neater. Various templates will call the disambig variable if possible, showing 'The Ambiguous Building' as a link, rather than 'The Ambiguous Building (Suburb Name)' which looks less nice and can also be too long for some templates. --  RoosterDragon  16:13, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
