You realise that we don't actually have the extension installed that allows for use of the <ref> tag?--The General T Sys U! P! F! 14:46, 29 May 2011 (BST)

Right, excellent point. Article updated. Bean 22:06, 29 May 2011 (BST)

Explain to me the point of this. Wikipedia uses it due to their policy of requiring sources for all information. We don't have a policy of that nature. Strength is just an accident arising from the weakness of others 22:08, 29 May 2011 (BST)

I'm also curious as to what brought this on. --Akule Maker of fine, hand-crafted UDWiki sass since 2006 -- Akule School's back in session™ 22:13, 29 May 2011 (BST)
Yes, Misanthropy, it makes sense that this template didn't exist until now. The vast majority of the articles here are a creation of fantasy by users: an article about Caiger Mall doesn't need to be backed up by books or news articles. However, there are articles about how the game works. I created the template because of a statement made on RNG. The article reads: "It uses the php srand() function". This is an assumption presented as a fact and when other users would want to do some more research on this matter, they start on the wrong foot. The game isn't coded in PHP, that's why I marked this sentence. The page about the RNG got about 8000 views, but it might as well happen to a more popular page with almost 80,000 views: what if someone would add to Search odds that as of June 2011 the normal search success rate increased from 20% to 30%. It might be true, you can't just undo the changes, yet you don't know for sure either and by inserting this template you let others know that you think this information might not be accurate. Someone has got to prove the given information is correct or it might as well be removed after some time. Bean 10:06, 30 May 2011 (BST)
