History
The Burne Motel was named in the late Nineteenth Century after the late Nineteenth Century. That is John "Nineteenth" Century, local amateur boxer and congregation member at St Matthew's Cathedral. Legend has it that "Nineteenth" coined the term 'burn', meaning to be disrespected or 'dissed'. Nineteenth was known for his frequent Nineteenth round knockouts that were followed by Nineteenth verbally abusing the passed out body of his competitor. This resulted in both his nicknames, "Nineteeth" and "The Burner".
Exactly what John Century had to do with the Burne Motel is shrouded in mystery, however most historians believe after victory in the ring, Nineteenth would escort groupies and escorts up to room Nineteen and *CENSORED* them.
Coincidentally the Burne Motel was, err...burned in the Great Fire of 1912 and replaced with the current establishment.
