The Milligan Museum
Description
Humans and zombies alike will see the following (permanent) description when standing outside the building:
"You are standing outside the Milligan Museum, a four-storey yellow-stone building criss-crossed with police tape."
Such a description is always followed by a report of the building's condition (e.g. the level of its barricades), but since that report is never permanent and always subject to change, it is redundant to include it here as well.
Aside from the museum itself, it is rather important to note that the suburbs' Mobile Phone Mast is one block south in the Smither Building. The Montacute Building, to the north-east, is the nearest NecroTech building. A note on a noticeboard informs people that the nearest fire station is the Morton Lane Fire Station; aside from the usual emergency number, below that is the telephone number for that station. The same is done for the Shadwick Walk Police Department, to the south-west. While the closest hospital pre-outbreak was Leo General, somebody has scrawled ' St. Isidore's Hospital, reopened, thanks to the outbreak. '
History
Converted from a set of council offices in 1983, the Milligan Museum was devoted to archiving and cataloging all of Spike Milligan's work, including a well reputed floor on the Goon Show, with copies of shows that not even the BBC have!
A few days before the outbreak, several drunken men on a stag do smashed and climbed into a window on the ground floor before trashing the place and starting a fire in a wastepaper basket. Luckily the smoke alarm sensed the fire and a fire engine was dispatched to the scene immediately. Minimum damage was caused chiefly due to the drunks starting the fire in the reception area but the museum was closed down for health and safety reasons.
The drunks arrested on the scene were eaten alive a couple of days later.
