Finally the plan is set into motion. For now this page is still under construction. But all major contents are already pinned down so far. I hope that it'll be mostly cosmetic changes. I'm still waiting for the permission to use a certain picture as a group picture and for the template. -- Cfcdot 00:01, 5 August 2008 (BST)

Story

When cfcdot was first wandering the forsaken city of Malton in the suburb of Gibsonton he pretty soon met some of the groups in the north-eastern corner of the city, contacted some of their members, introduced himself as a new player who is pro survivor and offered some help. He helped them to maintain some of their buildings and helped out whereever he could and where help was needed.

In return he was provided with some hints towards gameplay and strategy and was asked to join their groups.

But he never joined their ranks. He liked the solitude.

While his first few months in Malton went by gaining experience a plan to start a group began to form in his mind. But a group that would address his objections to join some of the rather military style groups. A group that would be active all over Malton. It'd have to be a group for people who ...

• ... like to walk or freerun the city alone.
• ... like to help out whereever they can.
• ... are resolutely pro survivor.
• ... know that they're better of with some occasional help.
• ... realised that others are better of with some occasional help as well!

And so, on August 5th, 2008 he founded "The Wandering Men".

Goals

The goals of TWM are rather simple.

• We want to provide the highest level of fun and security possible that can be achieved with the lowest level of hierarchic structure possible.
• We encourage lone wolves to seek company every now and then.
• We like to provide help to survivors whereever it may be needed. Note that this ain't true for known PKers or GKers. (See under PKers and GKers on this page as well.)

Leadership

There isn't a real leader in a sense of giving orders or such. All Wandering Men are asked to provide some information on this page under the news section. But noone is commanding anyone. Requests may be uttered and if some of the wanderers can help out it shall be very graciously taken. But there is no leader in the "classical" sense.

Strategy

The following templates sum it up nicely. If the fellow wanderers think that something is missing please start a discussion about it on the discussion page.

We abide by these Rules

1. We do not kill generators.
2. We do not kill players in a rush. The great exception are those people who can be found under PKers and GKers further down.
3. Our help includes heals, revives, keeping the cades, refuelling gennies, killing zeds, scouting Malton and telling stories about it. Whatever we may be able to provide at an given moment.
4. We strongly dispise of zerging.

Recruitement requirements

To be allowed into the ranks of TWM you have to meet the following requirements.

1. Your character in UD has to be Level 12 or higher.
2. You need to have a user page where you provide some basic information about yourself. Take this as an example.
3. In your UD profile you need to provide a link to your wiki page. Like this, for example.
4. You'll have to provide at least one of the following contact informations: ICQ, AIM, MSN or yahoo.
5. In addition to adding your sign up here you're asked to send an email to cfcdot under the adress given on his user page.
6. And you need to abide by the rules!

Since we realised that some occasional help is as pleasant to receive as to give we'd like to have some pro survivor allies. So feel free to contact any of our members. We'll be happy to list you here as friends.

And - if after some time of testing - we found that you're a friend indeed we'll offer you an alliance. You still won't be able to give any orders to any of us. We're not sorry about that. But your requests for help will be given highest priority by all The Wandering Men!
