Stuartbman vs. Darkmagic

I can't believe I'm coming here, but can a guy get banned for being a n00b? He has made what sound like Threats to my life when people have been informing him of his n00bish posts, and straight out deletes constructive criticism. Here goes the conversation:

Hi Dark, I'm not involved too much with the Yagoton wiki, but I have to say, your reporting of news is absolutely appalling. I reccomend if you cannot keep it in a Newspaper style, NPOV, you stay out of the wiki altogether. Simple statements such as "hinks is breached" cannot help anyone whatsoever, so try to make it dramatic, if you have to, add a bullet point. Hi, I would like you establish your "style". Most people on the wiki can take "criticizm" and adjust their posts accordingly. However, you have refused,again and again, to put your posts in an NPOV style. The Yagoton Wiki does not follows your style. If you look at the top of the page, it says so itself. Now I will edit all of your future posts into NPOV style, and label them as my own, if you cannot use:

Proofreading.

Calling someone a "noob" is not constructive criticism. Editing their posts to make them look bad is not constructive criticism and taking them to arby cos you get a vandalism warning is not constructive critisism either. I'm not angry about the vandalism warning- I read in some old, now outdated rules that talk pages were my own. As for the n00b, I think calling soemone a n00b pales in comparison to him making threats to my very real life, and frequently calling me a retard. OK, to each of you, I don't know the history between you two, so let me know your versions of the background (the abridged version please) behind this. I will set out some sections below for you to place your respective cases. Don't interact with each other, make your cases to me, and once you've finished a section, don't go back and edit it further (after a reasonable time for touch-ups, 30min?). First Stuartbman will make his case, then Darkmagic, followed by Stuartbman's rebuttal, and then Darkmagic's. I reserve the right to edit your posts to correct formatting errors, or just to make it more readable.

I am confused, you say your retracting your approval and then post your argument a few minutes later? You might as well go on with it now and get it over and done with. Stuartbman is right about your spelling but big deal, it doesnt give him the right to vandalise your posts or take you to Arby's! Stuartbman's Case

This whole thing has begun with my compulsion for good grammar. I see far too often, all over the web, shoddy sentences that stink of a lack of effort. So, as quoted above, I warned Darkmagic of his inability, just below where another user was doing similar. I was shocked at the response, and the (poorly spelt) torrent of abuse that spewed forth. My ideal outcome for this case would be for Darkmagic to have him significantly improve his proofreading ability. --Stuartbman 19:47, 14 July 2007 (BST)

I shouldn't be typing this. I only did what I did because I had lost patience with people doing that to me. after that this whole thing went out when he went back at me, so i went back at him, i have a thing that i have to reply to a attack on my character, after that all hell just broke lose cumilating with his threat of taking over all my posts, after that the flame threat came, then the rest is pretty out there in the post. he edited my posts to make me look like a n00b and i put him on the vandal page, the links have been shown i guess, basicly, i don't know ok, i don't even see a reason for us to be here. my outcome is for this to end without anything happening, he got warned for vandalism, and thats fair, i don't see any outcome thats needed.--Darkmagic 03:29, 16 July 2007 (BST)

I agree with some of his story, but perhaps if he hadn't been typing so badly, no-one would have to tell him. As for my threat to take over his posts, any person can see that I threatened to label the changes as my own, and checking the Yagoton wiki will show that that is what I've done. My only problem with this guy is his inability to take constructive criticism, not that he labelled me as a vandal- some old, now out of date rules somewhere said that talk pages belong to the user, and anything can be done with them(these rules have been deleted recently). I accept that what I did there was against wiki policy, and apologise. However, I do not apologise for anything else.--Stuartbman 12:00, 16 July 2007 (BST)

Ruling

Well, at least the steam seems to have gone out of your dispute now. Stuartbman, you've pretty much failed to prove a significant problem with Darkmagics contributions, however I did go looking at most of his additions to the Yagoton page over the last couple of months, and I've got to say, the problem is fairly minor. The real problem was started by your tactless criticism, and escalated by the straight out impersonation of Darkmagic.

Darkmagic, it's true that you could take a bit more care with your posting to community pages, please try to make them easy for people to read and understand. However I won't be mandating that you improve.

My ruling is that, for a period of 6 weeks, Stuartbman is not to edit or delete any of Darkmagics signed edits on the Yagoton (or other suburb) pages, or to complain about their spelling and grammar either on the pages, or on User talk:Darkmagic. Darkmagic may continue to post as he has been, but may not try to antagonise Stuartbman for the same 6 week period. I will place the Yagoton page on my watchlist and fix up any glaring spelling/grammar mistakes if others don't. If I believe that the spelling becomes deliberately bad, I'll assume you are taking the piss, and trying to annoy, and will report it to A/VB as a breach of this ruling -- boxy ^{T Nuts2U DA} 04:22, 19 July 2007 (BST)

Is it just me or does that response make no sense? Dude you won the case all you have to do is not deliberatly bait him on the wiki... whatever happens in game is nothing to do with this and if you report incidents of PKing by character name its not a problem!--Honestmistake 21:53, 21 July 2007 (BST)
