Moderators are not to use their status as a badge of authority. Moderators are merely especially trusted wiki users, and are beholden to the community just as any other user is.
What happens when a sysop turns bad? Currently, we have the same way of dealing with this than we had with Amazing. In other words, a never-ending drama story begins, people get hurt, good wiki users abandon the wiki, and we usually end up with a boost in vandalism.
Why allow a moderator to keep the privelage of the sysop (or bureaucrat) status if he has lost the trust of wiki users, by contributing to things such as drama or aiding vandals. What I suggest is that users should be allowed to start a referendum against a user they think might abuse (or is abusing) of their moderator status, to send them a message by demoting them to the rank below (buro to sysop, sysop to normal). This would we done in the form of a policy.

Version 2.0
- Bureaucrats would now have the ability to pass a vote for the demotion of other moderators (sysops/bureaus).
- A bureacrat could not submit a vote on more than one person at a time.
- A new section on the demotion page would reflect this.
- A vote would last 2 weeks
