I'd like people's opinion on this please. I don't want to put it in for policy discussion yet as I'm sure there's loads of mistakes and I don't want it shot to pieces too early (and there's a policy like it already up). Also, if you have a problem with it, then please provide some constructive criticism. Oh, and I think we should keep all discussion in one place - on the talk page of it? Thanks, Jonny12 talk 14:27, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- The current promotion system isn't by popular praise, it's not a vote.--Karekmaps?! 17:37, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- I was under the impression 'popular praise' was the sysop thing we have now and 'popular vote' was the bureaucrat thing. Jonny12 talk 20:41, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- Meh, something like this is already under discussion. --Karekmaps?! 20:44, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

"They now get the 'undelete' and 'protection' abilities, and can put their name forward on arbitration cases." Protection I understand, but i've never worked out exactly what undelete meant? Is their a page somewhere which shows what power sysops have, or the laws of arbitration?--RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 19:02, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- Undeleting is just the ability to recreate a deleted page. Have a look at UDWiki:Administration for what sysops can do - there are no laws for arbitration. Jonny12 talk 20:41, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks. I'll go read.--RosslessnessWant a Location Image? 20:45, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, Arbitration is an update by policy page, the rules for it are what is on the page itself. Any user can put their name in for arbitrator at any time.--Karekmaps?! 20:47, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
