Viva La Revolucion vs. Darkmagic, aka Jakezing, aka Covex, aka Whatever else he calls himself
Wouldn't a disambig page solve this, like we did with CDF, CC, GC or any of the other initial conflicts documented in Category:Disambiguation? - Vantar 00:50, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- It would need to be enforced by the arbitrator. Darkmagic refuses to acknowledge the validity of the other VLR. --Cyberbob DORIS CGR U! 01:02, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- Darkmagic already refuses to accept the other group exists. I think that enforcing a disambig page would be pushing it too far. I will be talking to both users after the dust has settled to try and get them to add maybe a small "looking for XXX?" link to the top of their respecive group pages. I didn't want to do this through the more official channels as my gut feeling tells me that pushing too many enforcements is going to do way more harm than good. I think I can talk them around, just not necciasrily in an official capacity, so to speak.--SeventythreeTalk 01:07, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- Off the record here, he's just mad because he knows damn well that we've been around since early 2007, without a wiki, from his frequenting of the NMC forums on which our group origionates (I can provide evidence of this, if it really makes a difference to anyone), and because we made the mistake of thinking he had matured a bit since our last encounter and would play along if we denounced his false revolution. The fact he chose to take our name is really too bad, but if we were aware that he had done so, we probably would have not bothered to make a wiki in the first place. Personally, I don't think we really care at all about the name thing, to us this was about someone we don't like bothering us. I don't see any problem if you want to put a "looking for XXX" thing on our page, there are so many groups with "Revolution" in their names that a disambiguation page is probably a good idea. I'd just sort of like this to be done with.--Screw Names 05:58, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
