Okay...

I think it's a little weird that you're suggesting a change to a policy that was just passed — why didn't you suggest this when the original policy was under discussion? As it is, though, I would support this policy, but I'll tell you that it won't change anything. There will still be tons of group pages that can be deleted, and tons more people whining about it. It doesn't really matter how old a page is, you'll find someone who wants to bitch about it being deleted. That said, the only change I would make is: "Defunct group page: The page is a non-historical group page, it is over three months old, it has not had an update in two months, and is not on the stats page." –Bob Hammero ModB'cratTA 21:22, 10 September 2006 (BST)

I wasn't as active in wiki matters when the origional discussion came up. And I know it won't solve the problem, but we have to start somewhere. --Paradox244 W! TJ! 21:26, 10 September 2006 (BST)
As Bob said the problem will still be present, but we will have bigger leeways for group pages (that IMHO get a little annoying). With the experience I went trough with "The GREAT cleanup", I can tell you that 90% of the pages that were scheduled by me on these 2 ocassions had on their history a string of author edits only lasting 1 or 2 days, and after that nothing, or maybe some good samaritan adding categories tags to the page. Oh, and in 2 or 3 cases vandalism and reverts =). They were around 250 pages: believe in what I tell you. --Matthew Fahrenheit YRCT+1 01:43, 11 September 2006 (BST)
Gage made a good point, as did you two. I'm retracting this. --Paradox244 W! TJ! 01:48, 11 September 2006 (BST)

Useless

Pages can be easily undeleted. If the we make a mistake, that is what M/U is for.--Gage 00:49, 11 September 2006 (BST)

Yes, but isn't it best to try and not make that mistake in the first place? --Paradox244 W! TJ! 00:50, 11 September 2006 (BST)
Yeah, if you are a police officer. This is a wiki, and it isn't like our mistake will be a prison sentence. We get many more groups that need to be deleted than don't. And if we mess up, it isn't a big deal. No harm no foul.--Gage DON'T CLICK HERE 01:24, 11 September 2006 (BST)
