Department HistoryThe Wanderers were originally set up by Sirens Discord to bring random and senseless death to the survivors of Malton. Many wanderers are true lone operators who seldom interact with others -- including fellow Rummers. However, wanderers often join in common cause to hunt down members of a specific group, specific survivors who have committed egregious crimes against PKers, collect shiny medals and awards, revive other wanderers and other assorted activities. Department AimsThe aims and activities of the Wanderers are varied. Most wanderers strive for a certain level of freedom and autonomy that inherently leads them to participate in a variety of activities. Typical activities include hunting down specific groups of survivors, hunting down a specific survivor due to egregious offenses against PKers (this is not to include griefing, an individual wanderer is to kill a single survivor only one time) and attempting to win awards for various activities (including killing a survivor in each mall in Malton or killing 26 survivors whose names begin with each letter of the alphabet). However, there are some collective enterprises taken up by the Wanderers, and they are described in greater detail below. Department Leader ProfileThe leadership of the wanderers recently changed hands from Sirens Discord to Murray Jay Suskind. While it could be argued that "leading" a group specifically dedicated to spreading out and doing their own thing is like herding cats, leaders serve an important function in providing the wanderers a general direction for their activities, providing them with fun activities to keep up their interest in sweet murder, and giving the person in charge a larger ego. Murray Jay SuskindMurray Jay Suskind is the current leader of the Wanderers. Though installed in this position only recently, he has already brought two new missions to the wanderers, ensuring that greater terror is spread to every corner of Malton and that the wanderers have fun spreading said terror. Murray's own PKer -- Larry Johnson 27 -- has been a Rummer since December '06 and has piled up an impressive record of PKing in that time, including a bounty of KOS on the Brainstock Rogues' Gallery. SirensSirens Discord is the legendary previous leader of the wanderers. As she was the de facto face of Red Rum for a long time, the wanderers also provided much of Red Rum's image. The sudden murders of many members of a random group, the rapid appearance and disappearance of PKers in Malls, or the random carnage in an isolated corner of Malton could all be chalked up to the vision of Sirens and her followers. Sirens herself was viewed as a both a harbinger of doom (Red Rum is coming!) and one of the greatest trophies a Bounty Hunter could pick up. The second phenomenon was all the more remarkable because Sirens showed a casual disregard for her own life and took few precautions in hiding herself from Malton's Bounty Hunting community. NT Tour '07Right now the Wanderers have taken to attacking the Necrotechs of Malton. This operation is the first one of Murray Jay's tenure as the leader of the wanderers. For the next few months, no Necrotech in Malton will be safe, as the Wanderers will not rest until they -- as a group -- have collected a life from each and every single NT in Malton. The Dry, Cool Wit CompetitionRummers have always been known for making smart-aleky comments before finishing off their prey. Murray has now decided that it would be fun to make a competition of it, awarding the wittiest murder in Red Rum a special award. Show Your Support
