Hair: Chestnut brown, that carries a natural weak curl to it. Its usually thrown back in a messy bun, tied with anything she can find handy at the moment. There are some grey hairs that have formed due to stress. She really couldn't care less about them.

Wearing: A pair of glasses, a bloodstained Santa hat, an ankh necklace, a blood-flecked pale blue blouse, a pink dress, a white lab coat, a pair of dark blue jeans and a pair of black stiletto heels

Style: What style? The ways of fashion expert Diano have yet to wear off on her. Since it's winter, she'll wear anything she can find clean.

Other: She also wears the dog-tags of her fiance, who fell victim to zombies, as well as an engagement ring on the chain containing the dog-tags.

Personality

Overview: Originally a happy, go-lucky girl, Leyla is now a shadow of her previous, pre-zombie self. She works herself hard (perhaps too hard) to keep her mind off other matters, and doesn't wish to let anyone in her group or other survivors down.

Attitude on Current Situation: She feels some guilt that she knew of what was going on working for NercoTech. She kinda wishes that an atom bomb be dropped on the whole city, if the survivors weren't in the city.

Opinions: Ezri is strongly against survivors they prey on other survivors, her self even falling victim to them once or twice. She feels that the only way to survive is if everyone works together.

Likes: Hot baths, sitting on roof tops, not being a zombie.

Dislikes: PKers, not having running water most of the time.

History

Pre-Outbreak

Leyla grew up in London, England. She is an only child, and her mother divorced her father when she was only 5 years old. Her father moved to the United States after the divorce and she eventually lost contact with him, which never bothered her considering he never really tried to keep in contact after he remarried. She does have two half siblings that she does not know about.

In school, she excelled in chemistry and biology and eventually got a Master's degree in biochemistry. Working on her doctorate, she was accepted as an intern for NecroTech in Malton. She moved in with her then boyfriend, Shawn, who was an officer stationed at Fort Creedy. Shortly before the Outbreak, Leyla found herself pregnant, and told him when he had been planning on asking her to marry him. The two now engaged, started planing the wedding when the Outbreak happened.

Outbreak

Leyla was at home when Shawn called her to tell her something had gone wrong at another NecroTech building. He told her that the city was going under Quarantine, and that he wanted her to get as much of her things together and he was coming to get her. Knowing the research and watching the news, she barricaded herself in her apartment in Edgecombe, and waited for her fiance to come and get her. When he didn't show up after 2 days, the 5month pregnant woman left to try and get herself to the Fort, armed with a pistol. As soon as she left her apartment building she found that he had come, only he was a zombie and had quickly developed Brain Rot.

Scared she shot him, and not knowing how to bring a Brain Rot back, burned his body and blacked out. She woke up in St. Louis's Hospital (Edgecombe), and slowly began to remember what had happened. She began to run the hospital to try and distract her from remembering what had happened, but the stress lead her to have a miscarriage and she lost their son at 7months, and named him James Edward, before burning the body.

Leyla left Edgecombe after a zombie outbreak and worked her way to The Veryard Building where she had been during her internship. After being unsuccessful in starting a group there, and after falling victim to a zombie attack she moved north to Paynterton looking for a revive and found the South Paynterton Aces.

Currently

After being revived, Leyla began to work with the Aces and ended up joining the group. After former leaders, Will Smogg, Tyne, Rex all disappeared, now using the name Ezri, Leyla accepted a Co-Leadership position with fellow longtime Ace, Diano. She currently is back in Starlingtown and The Veryard Building leading the Aces from there.

At the end of December 2008, Leyla officially stepped down as Starlingtown Leader of the Aces, the stress of the zombie outbreak in Malton finally taking a toll on the woman. She still however retains her room on the top floor of the Veryard Building, and continues to stab any zombies standing in the revive points.
