St. Matthew's Hospital (Santlerville) Administrator : SunilonMASH
He's just a small-fry hospital administrator, he didn't realise his job description would involve slaying zombies with an axe, looting factories for generators or using the spare Hospital beds for a barricade. He just wants his Hospital safe, clean and zombie free, is that too much to ask?
Background
SunilonMASH escaped from the medical administration building he worked in as it became overrun with zombies. In fact, he didn't even notice that many of his co-workers had already turned to them, he though this was just a normal side-effect of remaining in administration for too long. He ran across many suburbs looking for a place that was safe for his filing cabinet and Xerox machine.
He ran across two zombie infested suburbs where each block contained at least two of them until he finally came to the SW border of Santlerville. Low on AP, he found an entry point and holed up for the night. The next day, he found he had been healed and that he could plug in his Xerox since the generator was running. As a favour, he reported to the main resident group, The Dribbling Beavers about the mass-migration of zombies coming across towards this suburb.
This later turned out to be one of the very first warnings of what was to become The Battle of Santlerville - an incredible two month siege of the suburb by the horde that finally ended in a survivor victory.
SunilonMASH decided to stay in Santlerville and help The Dribbling Beavers with medical services, operations and administration. As a "thank you" present for keeping the toner supplies flowing, every single building wiki page that exists for the suburb was over hauled with a consistent and useful set of information and the most beautiful set of icons and graphics you will find anywhere in Malton.
These days, his role has expanded somewhat from just paperwork and you can tell this by the several shotguns, shells, pistols and clips that he carries around with him, just in case you don't fill out the TPRS form correctly, in back ink, in capital letters, keeping all writing inside the square boxes.
Affiliations
The only way to run a Hospital is to have lots of other people do it for you. SunilonMASH is very sociable and works (or has worked) very closely with these groups:
- The Dribbling Beavers of Santlerville
- The Malton Music Industry, I suggested they move in next door at Club Shelley
- The IB legionaires, requested help from them to protect the SW of Santlerville (disbanded, June 2007)
- St. Matthew's Hospital Staff, the Hospital is the Santlerville Campus of this distributed group
- The Burchell Arms Regulars, who come to the Hospital for severe hang over cures
- The Beatbox kids who use the Hospital and the SW as a staging ground for organised rampages
- The Five Critics who have a large patrol zone that includes much of Santlerville
GreenWing
GreenWing is a very chatty, social person who has no time for idiots and doesn't tolerate fools, even though he may be one himself. He is at the centre of a close group of staff that look after St. Ethelbert's Hospital on the northern border of the suburb of Roftwood.
Background
GreenWing is a medic who had a very promising start, he stayed alive, moved to the good suburb of Roftwood and hung about the two hospitals there, Eligius General Hospital and St. Ethelbert's Hospital developing his First Aid skills. It was all going so well...then came Mall Tour '07.
He saw the survivor buildings go down one by one until they were all ransacked and devoid of life. Without abandoning his beloved Roftwood home, he could only go to Hildebrand Mall, along with hundreds of other survivors from the suburb and around. In company, he thought he would be safe but then the siege started. It was all concentrated at the NW corner of the Mall, which is where he went to help.
It lasted 7 days. Seven long, traumatic, horrifying, nerve-wracking days. On the final day, one concerted push by the horde saw the barricades fall and the tidal-wave of zombies entered the Mall and could not be contained. Hundreds of survivors were killed, hundreds fled. GreenWing was killed in action, his last FAK gone to help some other nameless soul.
This was his first death, the trauma of going through a Mall siege and finally being killed was almost too much. He shambled to a revive point, got revived and it was the journey back to life that finally unhinged him. All the death, all the destruction, the endless struggle to stay alive. There were too many people to heal, survivors always need healing. This meant searching for FAK's and then going out to heal people and then searching for more FAK's and then going out to heal people, then searching for more FAK's and...
GreenWing is insane, but it is his madness that will save your life...
Affiliations
GreenWing works with a small but dedicated group of people inside St. Ethelbert's Hospital in the suburb of Roftwood. They are not part of a group, but their defence of the Hospital and support of the local buildings, ambulance and medical runs and crazy in-game conversation has made other groups take notice.
Update, July 2007
In July 2007, after being forced to flee into exile with the Staff and Fans after their Hospital and suburb were overrun by the hordes, they regrouped and became strong again and returned to their once destroyed home to pick up the pieces. While they were in exile, they became even closer and upon their return, they re-emerged at the Malton Medical Staff, a formal, fully formed pro-survivor group, dedicated to keeping the conversation flowing and to returning the comedy in health care.
