Re:Melee Weapons:Hit Rates

lol - Yeah - even at high level the hit rates aren't great, but it plays well! As far as your consumer goes, I'd recommend healing others with FAKs until you have enough XP for combat skills (get freerunning first though!) Where abouts are you ATM if you need help? EDIT:Sorry - I forgot to sign the post --xensyriaT 15:08, 19 September 2007 (BST) I just recently got basic firearms training, but im at St Seraphims Hospital in Fryerbank, laughing at something funny someone said. --CamDemon 4:15 PM, 19 September (Talk Like A Pirate Day!), 2007.

Cool. Well, I'm kinda in the opposite side of Malton ATM (Gatcombeton), but I can give you advice if you want ;). You're close to a Mall (Joachim) which is 4 north and 1 west of your current location. Now it's bound to barricaded to above Very Strongly, which means that you won't be able to get in, unless you have freerunning. Again, I'd recommend getting that next - coz it means that you'll be able to get into the Mall and safer places to sleep.
As far as general advice goes (sorry if you know this stuff already - just tell me to shut up :) then it's best not to sleep in Hospitals, Police Stations and other 'resource buildings' - coz that's where zombies like to attack first (there are nearly always people in them!). Instead, look to sleep in places like ... Towers or The whatever Building, churches and museums are also good. When you've got freerunning, you'll be able to move between the inside of buildings and so go into EHB (extremely heavily barricaded) ones of these types of buildings - which is where you really want ot sleep.
Now you have Basic Firearms, you might like to get XP from killing zeds (but remeber - if you only hurt it and don't kill it, then it might have a scent trail to where you are now! And always make sure you have a route and enough AP back to a building to sleep. A safer (but more boring ): way to get XP is healing (I know that you're in a hospital now!).
NEhow, I'm letting myself get carried away. Let me know how you get on, and one final thing - it you want to join a group, let me recommend the MCDU which is part of the DEM - you get good training in stuff like this, and the benefits of teamwork and up to the minute information. Plus we like to have fun! Without wanting to push it too much, here is the link to the recruitment article. Enjoy! --xensyriaT 13:49, 20 September 2007 (BST)
