Buttonville History Summary

First off I'd like to compliment you on your work in regard to this project. I do have a slight problem with the most recent change though I thought I'd mention. "Through some stroke of bravery, they raided the outside and managed to kill 9 Zeds." My reason for objecting to this line is that the history section should be objective and neutral (as the whole wiki should be) which this line does not aid in. Tactically it makes no sense for survivors to kill zombies on the street and is only effective at being a waste of AP and ammo. The zombies will easily rise still on the street for 1-6 AP compared to the AP you put into killing them, you are better off clearing buildings. Therefore this line tries to pass something off as more than it was. You could always include how "As a direct result of this raid 9 Zeds rose victoriously and laughed at the human tactics." Again I am not trying to come off insulting or anything of that nature, I am simply trying to help maintain neutrality on the wiki. -- Papa Jadkor (RRF) (MotA) (MT11) 16:34, 22 December 2009 (UTC)

No problem! Your absolutely correct. Haha, I've been learning quite a bit about the game since then.--Officer Mead Sheaffer 00:39, 15 January 2010 (UTC)

Preview Button

I'd like to tell you about the Preview button, which you can see next to the "edit this page" button whilst editing. When using preview, you can do minor edits to see what effect they have before saving your changes. You can also do little things, and end up editing a large amount, rather than making a lot of smaller edits, which you may have to change, because you might've made a mistake. I'm sorry if I come over harshly, I just like to spread knowledge of the preview button, it certainly made my edits better.--RahrahCome join the #party! 17:51, 16 December 2009 (UTC)

Your page was unlinked, so I added a handy dandy link here so that everyone can see your work.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 17:38, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

Might I ask. How DO I link my contributed pages?--Officer Mead Sheaffer 17:43, 28 September 2010 (BST)
Forget it. I've known for a few months now. --Mead 02:48, 6 October 2010 (BST)

The Burchell Newscast Team

ORPHAN.jpg Orphaned Page
The following page(s) were orphaned, meaning they weren't linked from any other page on UDWiki. For house-keeping's sake, we are adding the link onto the relevant talk page. If you don't want the pages anymore just post them on the Deletions Page. You aren't required to do anything, but we'd appreciate if it you kept the link on any one of your pages.

Please note that the link provided below will not remove the page from Orphaned Pages, so you'll still need to manually make a link for us. Thank you.

Your page, The Burchell Newscast Team, was not linked to on the wiki. This message is just to provide a link for it and clear it from our orphanage. --Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 13:40, 20 September 2010 (BST)

Your page

Want some help with it? For example, the links you have could easily be made to look more attractive, for instance from: "(wiki page, read it)http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/The_Burchell_Arms_Regulars " which you have now to: "wiki page, read it", which imo looks better. It's up to you, but if you do want any help fiddling with links and such, feel free to hit me up on my talk page. Or copy the links from here. :P --Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Fortress Event

Dude, you've been updating both the party page and the N by NE page, and sicne they're identical, I made North by Northeast 2010 a redirect. Essentially, if somebody follows the link, they'll just go to the other page. Hence, you no longer need to update both. :P --Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 22:45, 20 September 2010 (BST)

Reverse them, please?--Officer Mead Sheaffer 22:49, 20 September 2010 (BST)
The deed is done.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 22:50, 20 September 2010 (BST)

Your page

I moved your page from Public Things. :D to User:Officer Mead Sheaffer/Public Things. :D, because your pages should all be in your namespace (basically starting with "User:Officer Mead Sheaffer/" if they're for your user, or with the group prefix if they're for a group).--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 20:53, 28 September 2010 (BST)

You'll probably want to keep all your user pages in your own space, so that you have complete control over their content. Change your nav toolbar to this code, click on the links, and edit the new pages as you like. This should keep them under your username.

A lot better

I find the page Your Mother to be a lot better, thanks :) Red Eyes-Dezonus-Red Eyes (talk) 02:29, 30 September 2010 (BST)

Your Mother has moved

The "Your Mother" page has been moved to User:Officer Mead Sheaffer/Your Mother. Pages like that are considered to be off-topic and are subject to speedy deletion if they're in the public namespace. To be nice, however, I went ahead and just moved it into your userspace, since you can pretty much put whatever you want in there. Aichon 06:37, 30 September 2010 (BST)

Already did, mate. "Your Mother" redirected to that. --Officer Mead Sheaffer 06:44, 30 September 2010 (BST)
I don't think I follow. The page at User:Officer Mead Sheaffer/Your Mother did not exist until I moved Your Mother to it using a sysop-level operation. Your Mother was not a redirect at the time either, nor is it now. I was merely notifying you of the action taken as a courtesy so that you would be aware of what happened to your page, rather than thinking it had been deleted outright. Aichon 06:48, 30 September 2010 (BST)
Odd! What you say is correct. I meant when "your mother" was typed, it redirected to my namespace. That dissipated so I had believed your mentioning of your actions accounted for the disappearance of the redirect. My mistake. --Officer Mead Sheaffer 06:51, 30 September 2010 (BST)
Well, I still don't quite follow, but for a few minutes after I moved the page to your userpsace but before I had finished cleaning everything up, Your Mother was automatically configured by the wiki software to act as a redirect to User:Officer Mead Sheaffer/Your Mother. It's a scheduled deletion however, since there were no links going to it, so I went ahead and deleted it immediately. That may be what you're thinking of, though I'm not entirely sure. Aichon 07:00, 30 September 2010 (BST)
No no, you've got it. I was confused. Thank you though. --Officer Mead Sheaffer 07:02, 30 September 2010 (BST)

Signature

Hey mate, your signature will need to be modified a bit before it fits within the rules of this wiki's signature policy. Firstly, that image needs to be reduced in size so it fits 14px in height. Secondly, your signature actually needs some sort of link to your userpage. Don't worry, you're not in trouble, just make the changes by the end of the week and nothing official will happen. I'll be happy to help you if you have any more questions too.

Have a good one, regards, -- LEMON #1 01:58, 19 October 2010 (BST)

You look like you might be struggling a little. Is there anything you'd want a hand with? Nothing to be done! 02:37, 19 October 2010 (BST)
As a matter of fact I am, I can't figure out how to format it right and submit it to my sig without it coming out as I put it in (i.e: Template:SUSBT: blah blah blah.
In your preferences? You want to tick the box in there that says "Raw signatures (without automatic link)", and put "{{SUBST:Nosubst|User:Officer Mead Sheaffer/signature}} into the field there. Should work just like mine that way - inserting a template call to the sig. Nothing to be done! 19:25, 19 October 2010 (BST)
And what about making an un-obtrusive link to my profile, so it links what words I'd like (For instance, my name) to show but not the extra "User: Officer Mead Sheaffer"? Meadcomic.jpgCited Literature Critc, Mead Sheaffer.
Done. Also resized your image - the 14px limit only applies to height so there's no point not making the most of it. Nothing to be done! 02:04, 20 October 2010 (BST)
Well, it is 14px now but it appears to be... rather small. But, It fits so never mind. I swapped the pic. --Meadcomic.jpgCited Literature Critc, Mead Sheaffer. 18:32, 20 October 2010 (BST)
