Description
Wyld Towers is a 42-story condominium tower located in the suburb of Pescodside.
Built during the CityPlace Condo Project, construction for Wyld Towers started in 1997 and was completed 3 years later making it the third of five condominiums constructed to help revitalize dropping property values in Dulston, Pescodside, and Brooksville. The other four condominiums being Newcombe Towers and Morliere Towers in Pescodside, Roadnight Towers in Dulston, and Mattick Towers in Brooksville. Advertising for the new condominiums varied, but the strategy marketed for Wyld Towers involved internet pop-up ads hosted on several popular websites that depicted the condominium along with the words...
A new standard in space efficiency.
A new level of affordability.
A new benchmark in design.
A new sense of enjoyment.
Wyld Towers, a renewed sense of living.
While condo sales in all five buildings went reasonably well in the following months the project did not turn out to be the success city councilors and the condo corporation had hoped it would be. Further attempts to improve sales were cut short by the "Malton Incident", with the subsequent evacuation putting an end to any further marketing strategies.
Since then most of the condos have remained vacant, although survivors staying at Wyld Towers have found that staying in the lofty penthouses and sub-penthouses have their problems whenever the building's portable generator is destroyed since walking up or down 40-odd flights of stairs is not an enjoyable task.
These days Wyld Towers is under the control of the Pescodside Defense Alliance, a survivor group which uses the building as one of two suburb headquarters.
Barricade Policy
This building should be Extremely Heavily barricaded at all times. This is in accordance with the mutually agreed-upon Pescodside Barricade Plan set forth by local survivor groups and the Dulston Alliance, who routinely work together to monitor that the barricades for this building are at the aforementioned level. This building is meant to serve as a safehouse for Malton's veteran survivors.
Survivors who find the building's barricades below their assigned level are asked to assist in raising them back up in order to help ensure the safety of all the survivors staying inside the building. Any survivor found lowering the barricades may be directly "put to the question" by any member of the Dulston Alliance or a vigilante-minded survivor who catches the culprit in the act. If this happens the accused survivor must present a valid reason for their actions or be labeled a zombie spy/death cultist and be judged accordingly. So always be cautious lest you find yourself summarily executed for crimes against humanity.
Current Events
January 31st, 2007 - AOR, one of three survivors leading the Pescodside Defense Alliance, has claimed the Wyld Towers as their headquarters in east Pescodside. In this acquisition they hope to secure against the seemingly "zombie flooded" east side. Along with Acturus, another leader in the PDA, stationed at their group's original west side headquarters in Youl Avenue Railway Station the group hopes to provide swifter response times when providing protection to survivors throughout the suburb.
