Basic Info:

  • Excellent place to find first aid kits. Zombies frequently check inside.
  • Portable Generators have a use other than powering the lights and increasing search probability in hospitals. Players with the Surgery Skill can heal for 15 HP if the Hospital has a fueled up Generator.
  • Hospitals can be barricaded normally.
  • Among the internal descriptions found in Hospitals:
    • "...its wards and corridors blackened with the soot of a recent fire"
    • "...its empty wards criss-crossed with snapped quarantine tape."
    • "...one of the city's psychiatric hospitals."
    • "...dark corridors leading through abandoned wards."
    • "...its emergency room in disarray."
    • "...its lobby covered with quarantine posters."
    • "...a children's hospital with bright murals across the walls. "
    • "The main lobby is riddled with bullet holes."
    • "It was one of the last to be evacuated, and seems to have been cleared out in a hurry."
    • "...a derelict hospital that was closed down years ago."

Malton Hospitals

Redcrosssmall.jpg Malton Hospitals Group
This hospital has been registered on the Malton Hospitals Group database, and can be guaranteed to have a doctor present.

This is one of two hospitals in Malton named Tikhon General Hospital. The other Tikhon General Hospital is located in Dartside.

Tikhon General Hospital

The hospital sits on the southern border of Ruddlebank just outside of Old Arkham. Due to its location, the facility serves both suburbs.

An ad-hoc group of survivors calling themselves Tikhon Medical has taken up residence in the hospital, providing healing and revivification services to those in need. They are not a formal group, and have no leadership. Those wishing to join Tikhon Medical need not make a request, simply live in or near Tikhon General Hospital and work to support the facility. Placing the name "Tikhon Medical" as your group will assist others in identifying you.

Advantages of Tikhon General Hospital

Tikhon has ready access to generators and fuel, which makes it an effective hospital. Eight blocks northeast is Tompson Mall, where staffers often go shopping. In a pinch Sly Place Police Department lies to the north.

Disadvantages of Tikhon General Hospital

It's a hospital, and therefore a target.

Barricade Policy

Tikhon Medical requests nearby survivors respect the following barricade plan for nearby buildings:

Tikhon General Hospital - VS+2 - As a resource building, people need to have access to FAKs. The hospital may be overbarricaded when under assault.

Cosens Auto Repair (1 N) - EHB - Freerunners may find sanctuary here during attacks on Tikhon. The facility also provides fuel for Tikhon's generators.

The Honeybone Museum (1 NE) - EHB - Used to be VS+2 but persistent people have left us to change our VS+2 entrance to Rodeney Bank.

Rodeney Bank (2 N, 1 W) - VS+2 - Our new VS+2 entrance for when Tikhon is under attack and a safe haven for non-freerunners. Typically the building is empty.

Club Rodham (1 E) - EHB - Generally, barricades here are not well-maintained, but passerbys and drunks usually keep the 'cades up.

A Factory (1 SE) - EHB - Hospital residents find generators here, and freerunners may use this as safe haven during attacks on the hospital.

Greenleaves Alley (1 NW) - No barricades, but hospital staff use the location as a revive point. Generally, those revived have a quick move to get into Tikhon General - a powered, staffed hospital - to be healed.

Siege Status

Wednesday, January 28, 2009: Our newspaper fights are more frightening than this "war". We're declaring "The War that Never Was" over, since despite much chest-thumping, no one really showed up to fight. In other news, we kinda miss The Plague, but at least Master of Rot sticks around the area. He's kinda like a pet now. - Uncle Elbert 17:48, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

Wednesday, December 17, 2008: Creedy Guerilla Raiders and Tikhon Medical are now at war. Rather than defend the facility against zombies and be stationary targets for PKers, Tikhon is advising staff, residents and visitors to evacuate the hospital at this time. We'll take it back later. The Greenleaves Alley revive point will remain active throughout the crisis. - Uncle Elbert 22:46, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

Friday, December 5,2008: Barricades came down, several zombies inside and several (now former) survivors dragged into the street. As of 6:30pm Central time barricades back to EHB. Around 25-28 zombies outside with 27 bodies.

Thursday, November 6, 2008: Multiple breaches, numerous injuries so far today. Only known death was a revenge killing. Tikhon reminds guests that survivor-on-survivor violence will not be tolerated inside the facility - only Tikhoners are permitted to euthanize patients here. Ask us, and we may deal with any... medical problems that need to be applied. Zombie attacks continue to be repelled, spirits remain high.

Tuesday, November 4, 2008: Barricades are being stripped. Cause, Zombies, or Death Cultists unknown. Reconstruction of barricades critical.

-Update: (11:21 AM EST) Barricades restored to proper EHB status.

-Update: (12:30 PM EST) 8 Brain Rot zombies sighted outside of the Tikhon Prime. Barricades being actively degraded. Injuries reported by several frontline fighters. Active destruction of skirmishing Zeds advised.

Standing zombies is an innacurate count, as the 20-ish additional bodies on the ground tend to stand back up daily. Numbers have stayed reliably at about 2 dozen hangrah zambahz through most of the siege. - Uncle Elbert 20:45, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

-Update: (1:58 PM EST) More zombies sighted outside of the Tikhon Prime. Barricades degraded from EHB to LB. Reconstruction of barricades critical.
