Threshold numbers
The NIC is a direct copy of the MIC. I think NT buildings are on a much smaller scale then Malls, and need a different scale. May I suggest lowering the threshold numbers for status changes from 25 to 10 (for Safe/under attack) and from 100 to 40 (for under siege). This smaller scale seems to work well with my past experiences defending NT buildings. --Kinnison 01:05, 1 June 2007 (BST)
- I agree with you, numbers that high attacking a NT are unlikely. They need to be lowered. --EMAG TRESNI 02:43, 29 June 2007 (BST)
- Yeap, definitely --Duke GarlandTLCD SSZ 08:43, 29 June 2007 (BST)
rot revive
I've added a new status, listed in Template:BuildingDangerLevels. I got all the ones I know of, but keep an eye out. Be careful- they tend to look just like buildings under attack! --Seb_Wiers Imagine 00:36, 31 May 2007 (BST)
Layout
As you can see, something has gone wrong with the lay-out starting at Quarlesbank. I'm no lay-out freak, so how to solve this problem? Create a subpage or what? Please assist :) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Soccerfan667 (talk • contribs) 13:40, 23 April 2007.

- Thanks. I know some of the links don't work yet, but it seemed easier to list them first and create them later on. Ofcourse, I wasn't aware that the Wiki had limits of this kind. I'll try to complete the NIC within 2 weeks if nobody else beats me to it. --Soccerfan667 15:19, 23 April 2007 (BST)

The addition of the {{nts2nic|s=SUBURB}} tag to each suburb section caused the problem to re-occur on one page, so I had to split that one. Damn, its not using THAT many template calls- the NT Status Map calls over 200 of the buggers! Maybe the size of the individual templates is an issue; the ones used on the map are pretty small, memory-wise. --Seb_Wiers VeM 03:06, 20 May 2007 (BST)
Disambiguation
there's a problem here. The Cheeke Building is linking to a disambiguation page - there are 2 buildings in Malton with this name. and BOTH are NTs. So we have the same report in here and in here. While there should obviously be 2 separate reports.
I already faced this problem when created Danger Report for The Rayfield Building in Tollyton. the idea was to add the disambiguation to the end (so it looked The Rayfield Building (Tollyton)) the same way it would be The_Cheeke_Building_(Ruddlebank) and The_Cheeke_Building_(Eastonwood). BUT somebody (i don't knwo who - it wasn't saved in logs or i didnt find) moved my report to "The Rayfield Building" (removed disambiguation). this made it more pretty, but now main link in plug leads to disamb- page, not particular buildig page. if someone will ever want to create danger report for Shackleville's Rayfield building - it will be same problem as we have here with Cheeke.
So what should we do? --Duke GarlandLCD 21:36, 25 April 2007 (BST)
- The same problem occured with The Haslock Building, so I've created

and
The Haslock Building EHB, lit. AndyMatthews (talk) 17:58, 2 October 2024 (UTC)

I'd be better perhaps if we rename the first to The_Haslock_Building_(Chancelwood), we'll see. --Soccerfan667 23:36, 26 April 2007 (BST)
Merging NIC and the NT Status Map
Not so much a "merge" as just making it easy for people to work with both. I've put a rather prominat link to the nic in the map template, and was hoping it would be OK to eventually update all the nic suburb guides along the lines of what I did to Barrville. --Seb_Wiers VeM 00:34, 7 May 2007 (BST)
- OK, I;ve also made some design changes that will make any future map design updates MUCH less labor intensive. Most notably, I could now slap in new status levels merely by updating a few templates- rather like nic can also do. I'm still divided on whether both systems should use the same ratings; nic seems to focus on how many zombies are around, while NTSM focuses on the actual state of the building. The nic levels are handy info for folks who plan to stick around the building, but NTSM is more useful for migratory types just looking for a place where they can stock up fast before moving on. --Seb_Wiers VeM 00:34, 7 May 2007 (BST)
- I've moved forward some with thois project, having done all the nic sections through the B's. The minor update to the building template (which doesn't affect how it looks if you do not use the xy variable) makes it much easier to compare the two info sources. --Seb_Wiers VeM 20:46, 12 May 2007 (BST)
