Basic Info:

  • Office buildings owned by the company often associated with the zombie outbreak. From the outside, they are indistinguishable from other buildings, but characters with the NecroTech Employment skill are able to recognise them.
  • Among the internal descriptions found in NecroTech Buildings:
The NecroTech logo is set in the wall behind the front desk, and doors open onto powered-down computer rooms and laboratories."
  • If a generator is running inside the building:
"The NecroTech logo glows gently above the front desk, and doors open onto a number of brightly-lit laboratories and computer rooms."
  • NecroTech offices are tall enough for survivors to commit suicide from. They also provide a vantage point from which binoculars can be used.
  • Necrotech Buildings can be barricaded normally.

Description

Necrotech

The Rayfield Building is a NecroTech facility located in the suburb of Tollyton. There is another Rayfield Building in Malton, but this isn't that one.

It should be noted that this building's strategic importance to survivors is increased by the fact that it is the only NecroTech building located in the entire suburb. Staff at this building commonly revive zombies at nearby revive points (the nearest RP is Errington Crescent, 1 North of the Rayfield building). The generator should be kept running at all times. Barricades should be maintained at maximum.

This is the home of the Tater Red Krewe, where the gumbo's hot. Stop by, help yourself to a lucky rabbit's foot, or a crow's claw. Lift the curse.

Mandate

NecroTech staff continue to follow directive 42-A, issued by the head office on January 19th 2006, with the activation and manufacture of MK-II revivification syringes. While the cost in time and effort are currently high the certainty provided by being able to manufacture a constant stream of syringes has mitigated early concerns.

The activation of NecroNet with all NecroTech buildings has also allowed scientists to apply the DNA tracking research they have gathered to date. The field research staff stationed at the Rayfield Building feel certain that they can crack the mystery surrounding the spread of the virus as well as help monitor aberrant zombie activity within Tollyton.

Barricade Policy

This building should be Extremely Heavily barricaded at all times. This is in accordance with the mutually agreed-upon plan set forth by local survivor groups and by which survivors routinely work together to monitor that the barricades for this building are at the aforementioned level. This building is meant to serve as a safehouse for Malton's veteran survivors.

NecroNet Reports

Zombie tracking reports are a free service provided by the NecroTech corporation to all its staff and local survivors in order to help facilitate quicker response times when managing zombie threats and to build a greater awareness of zombie migration patterns within the 9x9 block region around the Rayfield Building. As a cautious reminder, only those zombies tagged with the DNA Extractor will appear on these scans, so actual numbers may vary when dealing with older zombies (i.e. Brain Rot).

Current Events

December 9th, 2007 - Through hard work and dedication, Shoot 1st manages to install the last of the sensor eyes and brings NecroWatch online. In no time NecroNet 2.0 uploads into the building's mainframe computers and it (read: A.L.I.C.E.) is ready for business.

October 16 2009 - The building has collapsed. Zombies over ran the building.

October 18 2009 - Building is back up an running. Seems to be the target for this specific group of zeds.

March 18, 2010 - The building is now in zombie hands, with EVIL, and a coalition of feral zombies watching over the building, and keeping it from survivors. -Poodle of DoomM! Fear is only as deep as the mind will allow it be.T 03:40, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

July 5, 2010 - A trenchcoater has been spraypainting "Revives inside Rayfield" all over Tollyton. This is contrary to the suburb's Barricade policy, leading to a steady presence of zombies inside Tollyton's only NT facility and preventing it's repair. Any such messages found should be replaced with directions to Errington Crescent, Tollyton's true Revive Point.
