Description
You are standing outside Broadbent Plaza Railway Station, an imposing white-stone building with stern gargoyles along its guttering. Behind railings, you can see railway tracks disappearing into the surrounding city.
Considered one of Malton's oldest train stations, it was built during the Victorian era. It was later used as a bombshelter during the second World War, during which most of it decorative gargoyles were mostly destroyed. After the war, locals rallied together and gathered enough money to replace the station's beloved statues, which were rebuilt according to old photographs and sketches from locals. After the "Malton Incident" the station was claimed by the survivor group, Newgrounds, as one of the group's veteran survivor shelters within the suburb.
Barricade Policy
This building should be Extremely Heavily barricaded at all times. This is in accordance with the barricade level set forth by the Rolt Heights Barricade Plan and Newgrounds, who routinely monitor the barricade level for this building. This building is meant to serve as a safehouse for them and Malton's veteran survivors, and thus requires the Free Running skill to be properly utilized.
Survivors who find the building's barricades below their assigned level are asked to assist in raising them back up in order to help ensure the safety of all the survivors staying inside the building. Any survivor found lowering the barricades without reason will be dealt with by members of NG.
Current Events
November 28th, 2009 - Building was ruined by repaired now by me. Took barricades to VSB++ and left it that way to allow newbies a place to go when the suburb is mostly smashed by MOB. --OO Willie 16:34, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
November 14th, 2009 - swung by on my way back to Rhodenbank to rebuild ... station is EHB with gen but no fuel. Don't want to alert the feral hordes lurking around so not going to refuel but should be a decent place to crash for a night. --OO Willie 14:50, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
September 4th, 2006 - The Newgrounds HQ was torn apart in the early hours by a few ravenous zombies. Bystanders report seeing annoyed NG members swearing profusely. Consider the Dunsdon Lane revive point inoperative until further notice.
May 16-18th, 2006 - Newgrounds called for their former enemy, RCDC, to help in ridding their suburb and HQ of nefarious zombies known as the Rolt Heights Rotters. The RCDC members responded and killed several zombies, potentially RHR members, found inside in Broadbent Plaza Railway Station. However, at least two RCDC members are subsequently killed by the RHR while resting up in Rolt Heights. The station remains open and zombie-occupied, with RHR graffiti proliferated across the northwest corner of the suburb.
