You are inside NW stairwell of the Harold Hotel. It is dark. Also here is Criid (50HP).

You and Criid enter the auxiliary stairwell, nudging the door open, listening for sounds. Nothing is heard, so you both enter. Nothing is seen, and in single-file the steps are taken. One floor up and Criid reaches for the door.
