Description
This modern concrete Police Station is located in Pegton, a suburb of Malton, and on the border with Edgecombe. For a local police station, it was surprisingly heavily fortified, with spotlights, machine gun emplacements (no longer armed), and fire lanes incorporated into the design.
History
In the Middle Ages, this was the scene of a bustling chicken market, where Pegtonians and Edgecombers once swapped fowl and tall tales.
The police station was built in the 19th century and the current structure completed in the 1980s. As with Tilly Row Police Department to the south, Fowles Plaza was intended not only to protect Pegton from crime, but to deter criminals (or, indeed, anyone else) crossing the border from Edgecombe. Tensions between the two suburbs were especially high after Reunification in 1991, as Edgecombe feared Pegton's new-found unity would result in their own weak and insignificant suburb being thoroughly overshadowed (in this they proved entirely correct).
Operating as much as a kind of internal security force as a standard police precinct, the Fowles Plaza PD was heavily involved in crushing the May 1958 student uprising at the former Pegg Square.
Barricade Policy
According to Pegton Barricade Plan, this building must never be more than Very Strongly (VS+2) barricaded. This building's purpose is to serve as an access point for all survivors and a safehouse for inexperienced survivors who do not possess the Free Running skill.
According to the Creedy Defense Force, in case Fort Creedy falls, barricades should be kept at Extremely Heavy at all times. The reason is because this building will be served as a heavily fortified shelter and headquarters, and will likely be targeted.
Current Status
Current headquarters of the Pegton Militia, 1st Squad since its occupation on February 9th, 2009. It is also a stronghold and asylum in case Fort Creedy falls. This is a place where many people have been to regroup and try to take back Fort Creedy.
