Description
The Vigors Motel, a fire-damaged white-stone building, its doorway flanked by statues, is the only motel in Kempsterbank, its dim neon vacancy sign still glows gently at night.
Designed and built by William C. Vigors, this two story, "I" shaped motel was built in the prewar years and catered to providing temporary lodging to out of town family members visiting loved ones in one of the several close by hospitals. However, as looted police records will show, a percentage of the motel's revenue also came illicitly from local club owners who would rent out rooms for several of their customer's evening patronage.
After the outbreak, the Vigors has since been used as hideout for those who choose to not sleep in the nearby and sometimes dangerous hospitals. Notable Graffiti include: "the Vigors Mortis", "Safehouse for those retreating from Pole Mall", and a slogan by the Randoms pertaining to a mission title in Kempsterbank.
