#'''Spam''' - Glowstick = accuracy boost? Don't make me laugh. The only in-game effect of glowsticks should be to make sweaty rave chicks look a bit hotter.--[[User:Jiangyingzi|Jiangyingzi]] 14:14, 7 December 2008 (UTC) | |||

Suggestion description
First, the statistics
- Encumberance: 2%
- Locations:
- Night Clubs (3% find rate when powered, 0% otherwise)
- Mall Sports Store (5% find rate when unpowered, +5% when powered, -3% when ruined)
When activated in a dark building, a glowstick allows you to see bodies and graffiti, and also gives a +10% attack hit percentage to all weapons you have (If the darkness attack percentage penalty for a weapon is below 10%, it will be restored to its full functionality). It does not effect search rates or anything else.
It also gives the same 10% hit bonus to all attacks against you by anyone else.
Glowsticks last for 6 hours and cannot be turned off.
Outside of a dark building, glowsticks have no effects.
When inside a dark building, all players will receive a notice when someone activates a glowstick, and the name/s of all those with active glowsticks will be listed on the page twice: once at the top with all the other names and again further down as Trenchman142, Googolheim and Example Page are holding glowsticks. Names here will not have the HP indicator if you have Diagnosis.
You cannot drop a glowstick once activated. It will be automatically dropped once it is used up.

Keep Votes
- Author's Keep vote - Justified --Blake Firedancer T E RNL? P.I.S.I.T. 03:44, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
- Keep - I like it, but can't we just recolor the players' names in neon if they have glowsticks? -- Galaxy125 08:43, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
- I suppose that could work too. --Blake Firedancer T E RNL? P.I.S.I.T. 09:15, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
- Keep - We need some kind of light source thing... something needs to be done to try and tip the balance back into survivor's favor. --Ltpotter 12:50, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
- On the other Hand you may want to re think this for a bit. Make them last shorter. I'll do the keep vote but you may want to rethink this. --Ltpotter 16:44, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
Kill Votes
- Weak Kill - Admittedly, it's a heck of a lot better then the other Portable Light Suggestions that come through here, but I don't like the fact that it's only downside is that you also have a +10% chance of being hit, which can easily be circumvented by moving away from a dark building. Linkthewindow Talk 08:21, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
- Weak Kill - I don't like how zombies have to rely on survivors to get the equilvant of an effect that can be avoided by survivors just by an extra 1 AP.--G-Man 10:58, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
- Kill But we do need some way to see in dark buildings, other than placing a generator and having it destroyed while clearing it. --Secruss|Yak|Brahnz!|CGR|PKA||EMLN|Templates|RRF|RFTM|Crap|WHOZ||MU|GN|C2008||01:47, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
- Kill - I don't think glowsticks give off enough light to warrant the effects that are attributed to it in this suggestion. Also, really close to flashlights. --ZsL 07:09, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
Spam/Dupe Votes
- GTFO - out of genre -- boxy talk • teh rulz 14:01 6 December 2008 (BST)
- Spam - A flashlight by any other name still sounds like shit.--Karekmaps?! 14:30, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
- Spam - Survivor buff which doesn't help zombies where they got shafted most: in the dark buildings. Survivors just come in, do their stuff, leave -- thus, as I said, it's just a survivor buff. Atm survivors *might* getting a bit of a raw deal, so I'm not going to go on a pro-zombie rant... but... neither will I support an unbalanced buff.--WanYao 15:06, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
- Spam - Just Flashlight with a new name.--Drawde Talk To Me! DORIS Red Rum Defend Ridleybonk! I know Nothing! Extinction Bottom Right Corner Is A Lie! 16:31, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
- Spam --Pestolence(talk) 17:00, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
- Spam - As above. --Papa Moloch 17:45, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
- Spam/Dupe - I seem to recall someone saying they'd made a glowstick suggestion ages back. The point is, it's a portable light source dupe. --Yonnua Koponen 20:12, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
- That was me, but I never took it out of the then-Talk:Suggestions. --Blake Firedancer T E RNL? P.I.S.I.T. 03:52, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
- Dupe - Replacements for generators in dark buildings are bad. Can someone add that to the frequently suggested list? --William Told 20:17, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
- It is already there. But, I corrected all the flaws listed there (unbalancing via. toggle, no zombie benefit, buffs to search rates and Surgery skill) --Blake Firedancer T E RNL? P.I.S.I.T. 03:52, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
