Shore Hills is a suburb of Malton, located to the west of the city center. Contrary to the expectations of many an ill-informed tourist, there are neither hills nor a shore in Shore Hills. Rather, this suburb is named after the tendency, prior to the Incident, for elected officials in the area being able to "shore" up support for their campaigns by piling "hills" of money into the offices of local election officials. The easy corruptibility of election workers made this berg a sure stop on every campaign.
