Who do you think laughed more?

Me or you? I come back for all of five edits, got under your skin, created a stink your still bitching about a total of 15 or so days later, essientially created a fictious arby, in the hopes that someone would take it more seriously than I ever did, only so I could refuse to take part, and all so that I could piss in your cheerios,... but the joke was on me... I see how that works. -Poodle of DoomT*C 06:10, 16 October 2011 (BST)

You know we all forgot about you again the second you stopped posting, right? Strength is just an accident arising from the weakness of others 12:02, 16 October 2011 (BST)
The true definition of Meh. --Hey Sweden! 12:13, 16 October 2011 (BST)
Yeah the joke was on me. You flip the fuck out when I say 3 words, make an arbitration case which everyone literally pisses on for 4 days, you delete your newly created "awesome returning!" group and fuck back off. yeah jokes on me annoying 12:27, 16 October 2011 (BST)
And the only reason I felt inclined to rub it into your wholly overswollen vagina was because someone mentioned it and I realised how much you got owned annoying 12:28, 16 October 2011 (BST)
Poodle, if you were just joking around, why did you send me an email begging me to be a fair and unbiased arbitrator while at the same time expressing your fears that the community was plotting against you and planning to set up a biased ruling in the arbies case?--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Now that we have settled it is, in fact, I who laughed most, I'd like to take the time to point out that "I was a puppetmaster all along, only pretending to be retarded!" is the most laughable excuse. can't make headers, cant indent

I have explanation in the discussion, and this is fact, not opinion. If you have someone with better than I understand to let someone else do it or I can't say it at least, but if you have the Red Rum statistic there you are showing proof for a guild, I am only showing proof for a player instead. But the proof is still there --Krazyxman 01:50, 12 December 2011 (UTC)

You're that guy? I don't see any subtantial proof at all. You're willing to tell me that proof of 11 screenshots is worth calling yourself the piñata king? I would highly suggest getting more proof before making this claim because at this stage, like on the talk page, I really think this will end up with your claim being refuted and you being laughed off the case DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION (TALK | CONTRIBS) 01:58, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
and btw, I also did not make this change for a long time until I have the proof on my profile to back up the claim. --Krazyxman 01:56, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
Again, I have done 35 more than that already, but without screenshots, the rest of the new ones I have screenshots for, so if someone else has more, then I will agree with your judgement, but if no one else has more then making the judgement is wrong from you --Krazyxman 02:02, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
Definitely. I just hope with your 11 proven piñatas you just enjoy that 18.4 seconds of fame. DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION (TALK | CONTRIBS) 02:08, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
it is 14 actually and it is increasing the more i play --Krazyxman 02:09, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
14! Make that 25 seconds. DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION (TALK | CONTRIBS) 02:10, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
again, if others are so mad about it they want to just get 15 in a row in a few min. just to try to prove me wrong, then fine, I'll accept it, but if people want to play the real honest way, i have always been honest, even with all the ones i did before even though i wasn't keeping track of them at the time, but i have no reason to lie and if you saw my game profile at that time you will see I change it by one only every time i do it.....again, the only reason i start doing screenshots is to show i am not lying when i make my claim, otherwise i would say i did 1000 pinatas, but i never did it so why should i say it. --Krazyxman 02:16, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
even on the discussion page you can see people admitting i did many of the pinatas, so it is not like i am just making it out of thin air, just the exact number is in dispute, but i have always been honest about that--Krazyxman 02:21, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
No idea what you're proving by going on about this, I don't actually care, as long as you have proof for your 'mammoth' achievement DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION (TALK | CONTRIBS) 03:07, 12 December 2011 (UTC)

You just heavily dissed yourself. First intifada started 1987. So that would mean you were about 14 when leaving the army. And even if you are 39 then you've still had your best days, so I'm pretty sure that I'm physical stronger than you. Unless you are 6 foot 6 and 200lbs. Not that I care, though. Ohh noo, my contributions strongly reflect my interest. Who knows, in a year things could change. I'm still playing UD every day so it's still in the back of my mind somewhere. But I only log in, help the kilts and log out, everything RPing that UD and the wiki gave me I am currently getting from delving into Face of Mankind in my spare time, strangely enough. but they are not drunken rants.. so they just don't count as much.--User:Sexualharrison16:11, 12 July 2012
But DDR you don't see that those text walls pale in comparison to the ones that you were once famous for (or so I am told as I was not present to witness them first hand). About that, you are wrong. Allow me to explain. 1. The text walls that we have today are not anywhere near as impressive because they do not have the power and expertise as the ones that you (and all those who came before you that also had a phenomenal penchant for text walls (such as Grim s, Akule) used to express and so they do not carry the same effect. They are just lots and lots of words, they are not a text wall. In effect, they are text bricks, all lying together, but they have not been cemented together by the pure intent of the text-waller and so they do not form a text wall but merely a series of text bricks placed atop one another. Therefore, the current text walls are not even slightly comparable to the text walls of old. I've already explained enough why you are WRONG but I'll continue to do so, because there are plenty more reasons. 2. Text walls are defined on websters' online dictionary as being "large spaces of text masterfully crafted such that they cause confusion and disinterest by putting off any such person as would want to view them". For many reasons, the text walls that have recently graced the wiki do not meet that definition. Firstly, the word "large" does not necessarily apply to the current walls. Websters' online dictionary defines "large" as "big, somewhat large, colossal". None of these words apply to the small and lacking walls that we see nowadays. Frankly, these are just disgraceful and do not fit the definition of "large". Furthermore, there is no mastery to the crafting of these text walls. They are just made calmly and reasonably, completely forsaking the purpose of the text wall. Text walls exist, not to rationally and slowly outline a lot of detailed points, but to push so much "fact" and data at your enemy at once that they cannot respond within a few minutes and so you take your moral pleasure in your "destruction" of them and their points. The modern text walls simply try to make points logically and sensibly. They are not truly text walls for this reason. 3. Are you really reading this? I'd imagine the joke has grown quite stale by this point. Ah well, I'll continue anyway. 4. Text walls on the wiki today are incomplete because there is no true "drama" to fuel them - they are simply angry posts about nothing, and although some of the best text walls are over trivial issues, the waller themselves must be convinced of the importance of what they are text screaming about. On the modern wiki, where there is little drama to be had, can we really call anything a text wall? For all of these reasons I have made a solid and concrete case as to why you are wrong, backed up by screenshots, facts, national statistics from the government and also by the law of Norway and several east Asian states. For this reason I feel comfortable saying that you have no business saying what you are saying. Ha! --Shortround }.{ My Contributions 17:00, 12 July 2012 (BST) Like.png 2 people like this comment.

I responded to you

Even though I probably shouldn't have I felt it was worth addressing somewhat since it is a review and negative ones in the correct light can be useful. I do think it's disingenuous of you to accuse me of actually lying when in most of our precedent related discussions the precedent I've sited in response to the precedent you've sited was core precedent or cases where the precedent that later changed was initially developed for a particular purpose that was no longer being served. I'll own up to coming off as abrasive but, I'll also point out that frequently you come off as manipulative and willing to ignore things that don't seem to suit your point. Particularly in cases where you probably don't have all of the information but aren't willing to discuss or acknowledge that fact. --Karekmaps 2.0?! 05:00, 19 September 2012 (BST)

I don't mind you being abrasive, as long as you can handle my butthurt treating you like an arsehole at times, which you seem to be able to do well. But regarding your opinion of me, again, you've supplied no evidence of me doing this. If you could supply links to instances where I've behaved like this then I'm much more likely to learn from them. Otherwise I most likely won't remember (and don't as it turns out).
And I definitely think you should have responded. Whether I'm right or wrong, I've made a big claim and if you think they are wrong you should definitely not beat around the bush. Also for clarification the links provided aren't some "holy grail of ownage" I've been hiding for ages, I just have a long memory and looked for them quickly when I found out your A/RE was on (I didn't know it was even coming). I wanted some proof of the instances I claimed existed (for example with my A/RE, it's not your against that ticked me off, it was the fact you hadn't supplied some evidence I could look at and assess) because right or wrong it's bound to give you a reflection. A ZOMBIE ANT 05:10, 19 September 2012 (BST)
I don't think of them as particularly long. They're incidents that come to mind of negative interaction between you and myself. Humour surprised me since you actually seemed to understand after that discussion that there was no motive behind the note on previous related iterations of the page. I'm more surprised that stupid IRC drama where I blew up on you over the moronic ud-wiki udwiki channel thing didn't come up but I certainly wasn't a sysop then nor did I spend any time on UD anything really. I could probably spend time trying to find that evidence in relation to that A/RE but at this point in time I don't think it'd be relevant to your current behavior or future behavior as more recent stuff would reflect that. It'd be like me drudging up the old userpage redirect nonsense for something not directly about specifically the history of that, it'd just seem petty and wouldn't really serve a point in illustrating your character. --Karekmaps 2.0?! 05:18, 19 September 2012 (BST)
Yeah. I wasn't planning on putting in the humour thing but I'd just finished typing stuff and thought I might look it up just for memories sake and when I did, I looked back in the past for the first time (I'd taken your word for it that what you'd said was true) and was surprised to see that it hadn't been the case at all, by the looks of it. So I threw it in because again, these links don't reflect personal or specific issues, just the only evidence I sought for to reflect my opinion. So it had to do. And FTR I hold no qualms about the #udwiki debacle, you were about the most unbiased person in that whole shitfight, from either side. A ZOMBIE ANT 05:32, 19 September 2012 (BST)
Also I've made a final concluding response on a/re. You can have final statement. I only intended to put out my opinion on your approach to the job and have it judged based on its merits and that's it. A ZOMBIE ANT 05:32, 19 September 2012 (BST)
Categories are one of those things that are functionally hard to document changes in because they're tens to hundreds of separate edits, not singular move or delete actions. I don't need or want the final statement. I've said all I wanted to say there and here and never really have been one to make the case for myself. --Karekmaps 2.0?! 05:51, 19 September 2012 (BST)

Who cares?

Personally, as one of the few people that wasn't involved with this until it exploded (seriously, I have no horse in this race), I can say that in reading through the old discussion, it did not come across that you were objecting to Karek's changes. In fact, I thought the opposite. That said, clearly you intended for it to come across differently, and now you are, quite understandably, upset. That's fine, but it's all in the past. Though I do disagree with some of what you've said, I'm done arguing with you about issues of what complaints were made and when, or who objected to what. It's unproductive for either of us to continue in them. From here on, I'm just looking at the discussions that will move us towards a resolution. Fair? Aichon 03:00, 21 October 2012 (BST)

Firstly, the initial discussion had not ended. I had given suggestions, then admittedly I backflipped because it was apparent that these changes weren't fixing any perceived issues with the sidebar (which you know by now, the issues don't exist). My final word on the initial talks was me giving an opinion that I don't think anything is wrong with the sidebar in its current state.
Secondly, all the above is irrelevant. Yeah, I could have been more obvious. Yeah, I could be more civil now. But none of that matters for shit because at the end of the day, more people hate this layout than support it (a vast amount actually) and yet the people with the keys are refusing to admit a bad mistake was made, and subsequently refusing to make even minor changes that people are suggesting (and seemed pretty obvious from the get-go I have to say).
You know I love you Aichon and I'm not meaning to harass. But all that initial stuff, while meaning a lot to me, is irrelevant. At the end of the day, whether he was being a dick or not, Karek fucked up. Whether or not he gets lynched for it isn't my concern nor should it matter. But his bullish attitude towards legitimate responses is disgusting and even if they did have grounds, I was fairly shocked to see you support them while ignoring the discussion Ross and I had beforehand (as he did when making the changes), it's not a good feeling to feel like your opinion is deliberately being counted for shit even when you were one of the only people to have been part of the process from the start. A ZOMBIE ANT 03:33, 21 October 2012 (BST)
I get where you're coming from. For my part, I'm not (at least at this point) refusing to admit a mistake was made (though I do believe there's blame to go around, including on me for not participating when I should have). I'm simply trying to handle it in the way that I think is best at this moment. For the minor changes you mention, honestly, I lost some of it in all of the back-and-forth going on, and I figured that Ross would get some of those things anyway. At this point, I'm planning to swing through tonight or tomorrow to edit in any minor things like that after a bit more discussion has happened (and that's assuming we don't already have something new ready to go by then).
As for ignoring, you know me well enough to know that I wouldn't ignore your opinion (though you were being a bit of a butt :P). That said, based on my initial reading of things, it looked like things should stay as they were. And at this point, I don't see a benefit in either reverting it or leaving it as it is, so I'd rather just leave the status quo until tomorrow when we'll probably have a new one ready. Aichon 04:02, 21 October 2012 (BST)
Side note: while I do think it could have gone better, I want to make clear that it's not my intention to throw Karek under the bus here. I think he did a good thing in getting the ball rolling. The old sidebar worked fine, but it could be improved, and now was a good time to do so. Also, he had a GREAT idea on IRC last night for the main page redux, so I'll probably be scrapping my version and doing that instead when I find the time. More or less, if we edit the actual CSS/JS for the site, we can do a whole hell of a lot more cool stuff, like moving that massive line of links into categorized pull-down menus that would be easier to use. That would fix the issues my design has with squished text while cleaning up a lot of real estate and making it just generally look way better. Aichon 04:09, 21 October 2012 (BST)
As long as you edit it. Yours was always better plus I don't think I can handle another Karekgate. A ZOMBIE ANT 04:26, 21 October 2012 (BST)
Lol. Also, I actually prefer the aesthetics of Karek's design to my own. >_> Mine may be more functional, but his looks better in the way that it's weighted towards the right at most common resolutions. What I just talked about would kinda merge the better parts of the aesthetics of his with the functionality of mine by removing the left-hand navbar in mine and replacing it with a menu bar across the top. Hey, I got your message from a while back and applied some of your suggestions. I've added maps to the Suburb pages. Just wanted to thank you for your suggestion. Charles Whipplebotum 02:56, 31 October 2012 (UTC)

I like the addition. That said, I also think we should destroy the big DangerReport map. I don't know if it's every time someone updates a DangerReport and it needs to refresh the templates or just every time someone loads the DangerReport map, but with one of those, it freezes the wiki for everyone for about 15-30 seconds. The reason I know it's one of those is because every time I notice the wiki freezing, I can always check Recent Changes and see that someone is updating DangerReports. The problem got really annoying for me when I was working on some of the design ideas for the main page and was previewing dozens of changes in quick succession, since I had to wait quite awhile whenever someone was working on the DangerReports. Aichon 03:35, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
Is that an occurrence with the suburb dangermap, or also the locations? Also, congratulations Charles, I'm pleased to see it in a high-profile place where it belongs! A ZOMBIE ANT 04:01, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
Also, TBH If I had the chance to replace dangermap with the DangerCenter I would. It just seems more accurate. A ZOMBIE ANT 04:01, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
It's an issue with the individual locations. Every time someone starts updating individual blocks, the entire wiki hangs for everyone, based on what I've seen. I wasn't sure if that was because they were reloading the giant city map every time or simply because the wiki needed to re-generate the giant city map every time, but based on what Bob said, it sounds like it's the latter, which is unfortunate. Aichon 14:48, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
First, Charles, you deserve much applause. This was something I was hoping would happen for a while. But, I can definitely corroborate what Aichon has said, that the wiki hangs for a solid 10 seconds every time someone updates a dangerreport - and that person is often me, thanks to my self-assigned EMRP-updating job. Not sure what we can do about this other than getting rid of the full map; I myself use the quadrant maps. Bob Moncrief EBDW! 04:05, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
I've witnessed the hang-time issue myself, wasn't sure of the cause since all I do is update reports. The big maps is a great visual representation of the city and I'm sure there are those out there that would like to see it stay. If it is the cause of the lag on the wiki then maybe we should get rid of User:Peralta/Map_Project and its quadrant maps as well and see if that speeds things up. I suppose I should run that by Johnny first. -Charles Whipplebotum 04:24, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, anything we can do to speed things up would be welcome. If dropping one of them would cut the problem in half, that might be sufficient. It wasn't until I realized that it was hanging the wiki for everyone that this became a problem, since before I thought it was just hanging it for the person loading the page. Aichon 14:48, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
I've dropped johnny a message. Once we're both satisfied with the project we'll get those pages marked for deletion. -Charles Whipplebotum 16:03, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
Charles, the large map and the suburb maps look amazing. Like a priceless work of art. Except sexier and artier. Don't let these negative nancies burnt out by years of sysop slavery tell you otherwise. -MHSstaff 17:35, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
+1, the map is brilliant, one of the most impressive pieces of work I've ever seen on the wiki. --BOSCH 17:58, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
To test this issue, I have no problems replacing the giant map on my userpage with an empty one :) (although I'd like to keep the talk page, since that shows how fast this grew from a stupid idea to a giant project). PB&J 18:00, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
That'd be fine. There's no need to do a sysop deletion when a simple page blanking will do just fine. It also lets you keep the history of the page that way. Aichon 18:07, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, we can always Remove Demo00-99 and keep Map_Project around for tweaking/testing purposes now that we have the S-series (Big Map references /A), the Q-series (quadrant map references /B), and the R-Series (Usable anywhere on the wiki, references /C... and now that I think about it... this series could be moved to the templates page since they can be used anywhere.) -Charles Whipplebotum 18:19, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
The Demo pages can be sysop removed for all I care, but I won't denie crying a little when I emptied out the big one :'( PB&J 18:22, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
You didn't have to empty it completely, You could have changed everything to Demo0 and it'll be completely blank. Charles Whipplebotum 18:37, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
Just piping in to echo Bosch and MHSStaff's comments: You guys have made a beautiful part of UDWiki's future usefulness, at least I hope. Great work, keep up this optimising! :D A ZOMBIE ANT 13:52, 2 November 2012 (UTC)

Sorry to be lazy,

but if you were me and wanted to shoot you. Where would you go? I've considered killing you by proxy, but it's hardly the Kilt Store Owner's fault that he is easier to find. --Open the Box Org XIII Alts 23:15, 13 November 2012 (UTC)

Oh man, the boss won't be happy with that, and to think I'd just got promoted to sub-assistant... Back to the floor-cleaning for this poor ol' trainee :'( A ZOMBIE ANT 11:56, 14 November 2012 (UTC)

No worries, bud. The Crowbankians aren't so good at giving JRC a hard time, to be honest. Perhaps they've already submitted to the ultimate truth already ;) A ZOMBIE ANT 07:00, 29 December 2012 (UTC)
Thank you again. It's such a nice change to get quick revives. --  FOXLION   Foxsilhouette.png 19:51, 8 January 2013 (UTC)

Tee Hee

You really don't like me, do you? I know, I can tell. =P

Izumi Orimoto 22:28, 2 March 2013 (UTC)

I just don't think you should have been unbanned. And the way I see it, you've done not one thing whilst being banned or unbanned to ever change that opinion A ZOMBIE ANT 02:45, 3 March 2013 (UTC)
Fortunately for me, the majority of others thought differently. But I'm not here to gloat. Well, okay, I'm partly here to gloat. But I'm also here because quite frankly I'd like to be on good terms with everyone and that entails making amends (or at least attempting to) with those parties who may have had to put up with a lot of BS from me when I was younger. For all it may matter (in all likelihood nothing), I apologize. If it is any consolation I pledge to go about making the wiki a brighter, better place for everyone and help where I can from this point forward. Shall we call it square then? Water under the bridge, as it were? Izumi Orimoto 05:16, 3 March 2013 (UTC)
Well, it sounds amicable enough, and I'm fine with those terms... I don't visit much and definitely don't intend on making any enemies on here anymore, so I'm pleased to see what you add to the wiki, good or bad. I just like the childish glee in saying "I told you so", no matter what the context. A ZOMBIE ANT 10:23, 3 March 2013 (UTC)

it's the recent changes comment

that makes it. --Rosslessness 16:10, 7 April 2013 (BST)

Hey

Hey, I know you kinda dropped off the face of the wiki a little over a month ago, but just in case you have e-mail notifications turned on for talk page edits, I figured I'd ping you and let you know that Big Bash 4 is finally happening, since I know that you were in BB3. Anyway, might be worth staging a return to the game if you were looking forward to something like that. ;) Aichon 06:39, 26 May 2013 (BST)

A/PM links in your userspace

Hi! I just wanted to let you know that I'm currently migrating all the A/PM archives into the A/SA space. Your subpage here has a large number of links to the A/PM archives, which will probably need to be adjusted to point to the new locations. Do I have permission to edit in your userspace and alter them? (I'd probably do it once everything's migrated but before the redirects are deleted.) Thanks! Bob Moncrief EBDW! 14:08, 20 August 2013 (BST)

Goat Girl Travelogue

Not sure if you are still around, but it looks like you were involved with the Allied Travellers Organisation back in the day. Mind to confirm that the Goat Girl Travelogue put up for deletion was created by Lewin before the wiki history purge? -- Spiderzed 13:59, 23 August 2013 (BST)

So yeah...

You've got the basics, thinks there's a VB case as well. What else you want to know? --Rosslessness 18:44, 12 May 2014 (UTC)

holy shit

you're still around? Linkthewindow  Talk  13:17, 23 May 2014 (UTC)

The same goes for Ross, Boxy and to a lesser extent Aichon as well. Linkthewindow  Talk  13:19, 23 May 2014 (UTC)
Funny thing, when you look purely at the number of years we've each been around, we've all been here for the majority of the game's life:
  • August 2009 for me
  • October 2007 for Ross
  • August 2007 for DDR
  • May 2006 for Boxy
And yet, despite that we've all been around for the majority of the game's life, I think we'd all agree (myself included), that there's a big difference in terms of how long it feels like people have been around between the people who were there before the game peaked (e.g. you, box, Ross, DDR, etc.) and the people who came by sometime after that (e.g. me). Aichon 15:36, 23 May 2014 (UTC)
I miss the elders of the wiki. The Grims and the Vantars of my youth... --Rosslessness 19:09, 23 May 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, it's weird isn't it? I joined not long before the game started to enter into decline (mid-2008, decline mid-2009 roughly,) and it always seemed that I'd missed out on the best years of the game.
What's stranger is that we're coming up to the one decade anniversary of UD next year, and my character's been in the game for seven of those ten years (so what you said, basically.) Linkthewindow  Talk  08:52, 25 May 2014 (UTC)
Yep! Only occasionally since not much happens on the wiki. Nice to see you still around too. A ZOMBIE ANT 07:30, 25 May 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, it's pretty quiet these days. Less then 50 changes a day, and virtually all of them are people updating suburbs and danger reports. Still, it's nice to see that this place is still serving it's purpose. Linkthewindow  Talk  08:52, 25 May 2014 (UTC)
Pretty much. The game is dying so quickly, quite sad really. I'm thinking maybe a change in the suburb danger report descriptions might be warranted. A ZOMBIE ANT 09:49, 25 May 2014 (UTC)

You're all fucking old and I'm putting you in a home. Strength is just an accident arising from the weakness of others 03:47, 24 May 2014 (UTC)
