East Becktown is a suburb of Malton, located in the west of the city. Of the 2% of people who are of Jewish faith, over 3/4 of them once lived in this suburb. Most came to the city from Eastern Europe to flee from the Nazis in World War II. Before the outbreak, the community was trying to build the first synagogue in Malton, right on Dinmead Lane. Now the site has been vandalized and most of the materials were looted. Dinmead Lane is now the revive point of East Becktown.

Mobile Phone Mast

East Becktown's mobile phone mast is located atop the Percival Building [25,35] (EH barricaded).

Although the portable generator set up by PLEB to power the mast has been repeatedly vandalised, it is always quickly replaced, so mobile phone communication is generally good in East Becktown.

Notable buildings

  • Dinmead Lane - has been designated as a revivification zone for East Becktown by PLEB. Zombies standing there are being revived by various parties, and are not being attacked by PLEB members (unless an individual is recognized as a threat).
  • The Preston Arms Local pub, in a quite NW corner of East Becktown. Drop in for a smashing time.

Barricades

File:EBbarricadesSMALL.png
Click to enlarge. This map shows the current barricade plan. The bright yellow buildings are being barricaded to Extremely Heavily, whilst the other buildings are designated entrances to be barricaded to Very Strongly. Black denotes empty space - a road, monument, park, etc.

The actual status of barricades in East Becktown may differ temporarily from the levels shown on the PLEB barricade map due to uncontrollable factors. The map shows which buildings are free running entrances and which are likely to be barricaded to Extremely Heavily.

Those wishing to make a permanent base in East Becktown are recommended to learn free running as soon as possible.
