History
Jacquet Walk is the unofficial name of Whitlock Way, which ends to the west at the delightful Victorian Whitlock Way Railway Station.
The Walk derived its nickname from the habit of its most famous resident, Francois Jacquet, of walking from his discreet townhouse to his restaurant, five blocks east, skirting Blobole Park on the way. This promenade took place punctually at 5am, but Jacquet would often not return until midnight, when the second sitting was complete and the kitchens restored to a pristine state.
Since the outbreak, Jacquet has not come home at all, and it is feared by local gastronomes that he himself has featured on the menu at Le Jardin.
