Its still not really just how I had pictured it, but good enough for the time being. I'm not getting the same effects as you showed in your screen shot even before I changed it, so feedback would be great. Thanks, --[[User:Mr Watt|Mr Watt]] 23:53, 18 December 2010 (UTC)

Tidbits

Yeah I saw that. Don't know what the guy is on about. We've never fired on them, they've never fired on us. He's all talk and no action, it would seem --Blanemcc 22:43, 21 June 2009 (BST)

Templates

I noticed that you have created a whole bunch of templates in mainspace (denoted by not having a subspace as "User:" or "Talk:" in front of it):

Never do that. Mainspace isn't the place for it.

If you want to create actual templates, use the Template space (i,e. Template:PHOBIA kill count).

If you want to experiment, you should use our userspace as sandbox (i.e. User:Mr Watt/sandbox/PHOBIA kill count).

Once I know what your plan with those templates is, I'll file move requests. -- Spiderzed 06:08, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

You may have noticed that the above pages listed don't work as templates. That's because you didn't put "Template:" infront of the name. I've moved them to the following so they work:

The other ones have been deleted as they are useless in that state now the template versions exist. Please edit the templates at the given links from now on. -- LEMON #1 08:35, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

Oops. Trying to learn how to improve the group site. I'll try to remember that. Thanks for the assist.--Mr Watt 16:44, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
Hey man, you're almost there! You just made Template PHOBIAcomplaints, but I've moved it to Template:PHOBIAcomplaints (notice the ":" after template). Unless it's preceded by Template: it won't work as a template at all, sorry. You can use this new link as a template though. See ya around, -- LEMON #1 11:48, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
Oh, just noticed Template PHOBIA, so I've done the same at Template:PHOBIA, use the latter. See ya. -- LEMON #1 11:53, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
HAHA My plan to waste your time is working out perfectly!! BWAHAHAHAHAHA
JK. I will next be attempting to spread those templates out under Policies on the PHOBIA page. I don't like how they are all just stacked up on the left side.--Mr Watt 17:08, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

Hey, I had that problem years ago when I first added templates to my group page, took a bit of time to remember what to do but I got there. As you can see here I just added extraneous background codes to the individual tables, because their background colour is independent of the page's colour and when put into the page, they default to white. So now it should be all honkey dorey.

As for the barbed wire borders, that's hard to do because you'd need to use images and it means building your whole group page around that code. Only one page on the wiki that I can remember has done that before, they did it with blood, you can find it at MMX. Taking their code wouldn't be such a bad idea I guess, but besides that I don't think I'm a good enough coder to give you any more tips :( Sorry. -- LEMON #1 03:12, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

Thats great! Thanks for that. My strategy has been to look through group page after group page finding cool themes and stealing them unabashedly. Its time consuming but its really starting to come together. Your help really saved me a huge amount of time.--Mr Watt 06:40, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

One last template that needs to be moved. Retaliation policy should go to Template:Retaliation Policy. I'll put in the move request for you ;) --GANG Giles Sednik CAPD 11:46, 17 December 2010 (UTC)

PHOBIA

The width of your group page is fucked up on my browser and machine. I suspect policy table to be the problem, as the first line stacks two very wide templates into one line, dragging the rest of the page with it to the right side.

I suggest to break that one line down by one template, and possibly also to use a fixed pixel width for that table.

Alternatively, you could swipe the code from one of the templates and make it more narrow, but that would destroy the side benefits of using an actual template (like having your page show up in "What links there?" from the affected template). -- Spiderzed 21:22, 18 December 2010 (UTC)
