Perks Avenue Railway Station

Description

The station's good side.

A brutalist modern station, Perks Avenue took its name from the notoriously seedy red-light district in the surrounding area - despite the proximity of the police station at Tilly Row.

History

This station supplanted the antiquated but evocative Whitlock Way rail station in the 1970s, when Malton Rail upgraded the east-west service through Pegton. The erection of this forbidding station did nothing to dispel the sleazy atmosphere pervading the area, however; the station soon became a magnet for drug dealers, pimps, and politicians on a surreptitious night out.

It continues to be an area attractive to those with serious difficulties socializing normally, viz. zombies.

This empty railroad station was once a part of the city's now extinct Malton Rail system.
