About us
The Knights of the Burnt Bridge were created on the 9th of July 2009.
The name was one of many submitted and voted on as the most appropriate overall (The other contenders were The Warband Order of the Marshal Les Chevaliers de Bayard Bridgeburning Jade Knights of Light, Band of Survivors and Warband of (insert something here I couldn't think of one), so I presume it is obvious why the name "Knights of the Burnt Bridge" was chosen instead).
Given that the name was submitted by one James Ternius, he became leader.
Goals
Generally we have the goal of protection, of "defending those not yet with the strength", of being Honourable. We see it as our duty to uphold the wavering light of civilization in these dark streets, to hold the torch high, the candle in the dark. Not only will we actively attempt to reclaim suburbs in periodic operations, aiding those struggling few already trying, but we will protect and offer assistance to those recently awakened to the hellish existence that is Malton. As Knights, we swore an oath, and we intend to follow. To protect those not yet with the strength.

History of Operations
Operation Rolling Thunder Lukinswood
The Lukinswood Operation marked the Knights' first mission as an official group. On August 30, 2009, James Ternius heard a distress call over the radio, requesting help for the suburb. In only a few days, almost all of the Knights were in Lukinswood, ready to fight off the zombie hordes. Initially, the Shortman Building became the Knights' base of operations in Lukinswood, and priority was given to defending the Stagg Building, the suburb's only NecroTech facility. The first few days of the operation resulted in heavy causalities for the Knights, however they held strong, undeterred by the deaths of several members.
On September 4, the focus shifted from the Stagg Building to St. Elisabeth's Hospital and the surrounding area. The Knights worked hard to hold the hospital, and despite numerous break-ins, it never fell. Lukinswood group Malpractice and the Phoenix Security Forces proved invaluable during this time. The days dragged on with little change. The Knights and other survivors worked hard to defend the hospital and surrounding area while the dead smashed against the barricades. Eventually, death cultists aided the zombies by barricading ruined buildings, preventing them from being repaired. But even with such dirty tactics, the dead were unable to achieve victory. The piñatas were breached and repaired, and the barricades at the other buildings held strong. Slowly, the break-ins became less frequent. On September 13, the Knights of the Burnt Bridge withdrew from Lukinswood, believing the suburb to be sufficiently defended. Overall, the first operation was a success. (written by Toffey)
