Donkey!

Sneaky, hiding it in your sig like that. Do I get a donkey for every page you've posted on now? Lelouch vi Britannia is helping make Ridleybank green_ and gives Achievements 23:38, 5 August 2010 (BST)

Nope, Mis got it about a month ago, so he's winnign by 1100 points. (IIRC). To the archive!--User:Yonnua Koponen/signature2 23:39, 5 August 2010 (BST)

So like, I noticed you keep on changing my signature.
But what exactley do you do to it? It doesn't look any different.-- Jerrel tlk (82nd!) (Project Unwelcome!). 23:42, 3 August 2010 (BST)

BCH spy investigations

First, it's a truly bad move to put an IP out into the open for everyone to see. I'd recommend you to remove it from the DA forums and subsequent quotes.
For further investigations, you might want to check other IPs with this, that or other whois services.
Looking at the one you have given to the public, the IP belongs to a server of OVH, a French hosting company. Further investigation shows that it's used for a public proxy. While not being 100% sure, I'd rather suspect that Alice and Faulk have coincidentally used the same proxy to access the DA forums. Unless one of the other IPs of either Faulk or Alice happens to be a non-proxy, this shouldn't be sufficient proof, especially when I look at how different not only Faulk's and Gravesend's writing styles are, but also how Alice uses ProfileViewer while Faulk doesn't.
Also note that the same IP adress alone won't be enough for Resens' ZL to list anyone. It's often useful for proving in the first place that alts belong to a single player. But if there isn't proof that those two alts have been within 10 blocks within 24 hours (i.e. screenshots, iwits or dumbwits), it isn't a matter for the ZL. -- Spiderzed 19:19, 31 July 2010 (BST)

Yes, I'm well aware of all of this, and it's largely the conclusion I reached. I've even said I wasn't saying they were zerging. I said if the IP matched with the IP of another member seen co-operating with them, it would look more likely. I never said anything like what you claim I've been saying. I also did all the things you said above. What is your relevance to this discussion whatsoever?--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 19:26, 31 July 2010 (BST)
I've read up the backlog on the DA forums now and seen that you've withdrawn the zerging suspicion and the Monday ultimatum. Seems to be settled then.
As for relevance, I happen to be a zerg hunter and know a bit and another about tracking them down. I don't care about the group politics and the drama that seem to surround the whole incident. I only care about detecting zergs, or about keeping the ZL from being clogged up with false alarms while the actual zergers get away, depending how the investigations turn out. -- Spiderzed 19:51, 31 July 2010 (BST)
Yeah, the BCH forums also have some of it. Just asked how you fit in so that I could know. The main things I was waiting on were a comment from DeWolf and trying to work out where the Ip was coming from. I got the French proxy pretty quickly, but the evasive responses convinced me to get a comment from DeWolf first. As you say, it's mainly resolved, and I was only going to use the Zerg list if there was actually proof of zerging.--Yonnua Koponen Talk ! Contribs 20:05, 31 July 2010 (BST)

The hell is this?

Why do I get this every time I try to post to Boxy's talk page? My posts always go through, but I'm always shown that error message right after clicking submit.... - Poodle of Doom 00:01, 4 August 2010 (BST)

Got something similar. After clicking save, I get a white page, though the save goes through regardless. Prolly server issues.--Umbrella-White.pngThadeous OakleyUmbrella-White.png 00:03, 4 August 2010 (BST)
I know I've had quite a few issues here with the wiki lately. It isn't as bad with the game as it is the wiki, but it still occurs with both.... It hasn't been bad in the last three or so days,.... but I have had a bit of an issue with lag here lately.... things take several minutes to load,... and I don't understand why... - Poodle of Doom 00:19, 4 August 2010 (BST)
I'm sick of you guys asking other sysops who don't know the answers so I have to feel like a dick just butting in like this. Basically, it's cause Boxy's talk page is too long and he's too lazy to archive it, so the reload fails every time. The message is still sent though. -- 01:18, 4 August 2010 (BST)
Surely asking Boxy would have been the best way to do this. We're coming to get you, Barbara 01:20, 4 August 2010 (BST)
I don't suppose archiving his talk page would be in good faith huh? - Poodle of Doom 01:49, 4 August 2010 (BST)
His archive is his own, and it's not breaking the wiki (even though it kinda looks like it is at first glance), so it should be left alone. Also, DDR, if you hadn't butted in, I would have come in with the same answer. *cue the shaking of fists* Aichon 05:22, 4 August 2010 (BST)
It's not technically bad faith but don't do it anyway. -- 06:10, 4 August 2010 (BST)
I disagree. If his page is causing peoples browser to crash, then it's an error in the wiki that should be fixed. --Umbrella-White.pngThadeous OakleyUmbrella-White.png 17:19, 4 August 2010 (BST)
Well, it's a good thing he fixed it yesterday then. :P Aichon 21:32, 4 August 2010 (BST)
"who don't know the answers" - Of course I knew this one DDR! I even have to edit hack his talk from one of my computers to be able to access it. Your point stands though, the weird formatting questions would be best suited elsewhere.--User:Yonnua Koponen/signature2 08:24, 4 August 2010 (BST)
I didn't notice you hadn't replied yet, but half the time you still don't know the answers >=D -- 08:41, 4 August 2010 (BST)

Deleting User page:Diana Warren

Yonnua, why did you delete my page? Did I set up something incorrectly? Please let me know. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by DianaWarrenUD (talkcontribs) at an unknown time.

It's just one of those common things that pop up. We restrict pages about users or characters to existing only in your 'user namespace', which is any page named as a suffix to your username (for example, User:Misanthropy/Characters/Misanthropy is a page in my user namespace). Yonnua took the information on the page you created and moved it to your user page. This left behind a redirect page, which is just an empty page that'll point to the new page that it's been moved to, and it was just this empty redirect page that was deleted. If you want to set up more character pages, you'll just want to start them with User:DianaWarrenUD/ followed by whatever you want it to be named. We're coming to get you, Barbara 23:45, 7 August 2010 (BST)
Which I told you on your talk page. :P --User:Yonnua Koponen/signature2 23:46, 7 August 2010 (BST)

No problem. I'm sure you did. Its the first time I posted anything on wiki so while you were replying I was figuring it all out for myself. It kind of took a while because I'm still getting familiar with how this all works. Thanks for keeping it in line, and I was pretty sure I had done something wrong. :)
