AUTOMAPPING

Alex DeWitt of the DEM has made an AutoMapping extension - please download it and check the current results here (note that the map is updated from the results every five minutes and you may have to allow ud-malton.info to install the addon before it works) --xensyriaT 06:21, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

Oak Hill

Found a little bit of it at [339,46], bordering South Monroeville.--Mikelietz 02:48, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

--yes, Oak Hill is boardered on the south side by South Monroeville, and on the west by "Outside the City".--TheBerts 06:19, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

is oak hill completely separated by a band of woodland about 10 squares deep? seems so to me.--Lardass 03:36, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

--at least part of it is just fields. This was several hours ago, but I moved from West Monroeville SW into Oak Hill, and the transition was from one field to another.--TheBerts 06:19, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

-- I just found the edge being Club Dupuy I am going to be heading in diagonally to see more of the suburb. Johnny Crow 17:23, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

--Apparently there's a mall just a stroll West... What a useful finding! :] I went down, met a SE corner against woodland, advanced SE: first it was woodland, then farmland, then I found wasteland and went west. Found a carpark, and next to it the beloved mall. :D The mall is right at West Monroeville's border, btw.--Pt da silva 21:27, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

I realise there's automapping going on, but it's nice to have place names too. My little chunk of Oak Hill so far: http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Image:Oakhill_trek.jpg - --Co fragment 21:51, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

If you go to the automap and hover your mouse over any square, it will tell you the name and location of that square. --PdeqTalk* 04:36, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

In regards to the whole Malone Walk PD/NPC thing...

A big load. I'm in there right now, nothing. Just some scout and a generator. That's all. Jordan Salafack 05:05, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Malone walk is not the only EHB building, Paschal (possible mispelling) hospital, one east of it, is also EHB, resulting in me having to sleep outside tonight. What could this all mean? Please send a scout over quickly, It may be a bug or hackers.--Warlord zephyr 20:11, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Kevan will have just made it like that, other buildings around the city started as either 'Doors secured', 'Doors to the street wide open' or caded to LB. it is just they way it has been set up.--Skyvia 20:16, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

It could be he's just doing it so that in case a few zeds somehow quickly get the EXP to learn Memories of Life and starts wrecking havoc before any of the survivors have time to learn barricading. It's a safeguard, I'm sure there's nothing sinister about it.--Rubin 00:01, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

Moved from Article Page

The following discussion has been moved from the article. The info in it may be formatted for the article page and placed there in the future. --PdeqTalk* 04:22, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

The NW corner is located at 300-1 and it appears to be the NW corner for the entire city. This corner is surrounded by woodland with Atherton Mansion nestled in the woods as well. The NE corner of Oak Hill is 339-1 and borders West Monroeville. Mapping will come soon. --DonTickles 03:14, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

Some buildings in Oak Hill have generators and extremely heavy cades - given that no survivors can start with construction and the game has not been going on long enough for players to gain enough AP to buy it AND build these cades (on one building, let alone several) there is some sort NPC activity in oak hill.--Lardass 03:32, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

Searching in police department buildings in Oak Hill can result in the player "discovering" the station's radio console, which in effect installs a powered-down radio transmitter in the building. Not sure if this holds true for all PDs.--Rubin 08:13, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

Yes but i expect that instead of finding survivors inside (NPCs) we will find either GMs or some sort of trap/special area within with are video clips we can get only from there.--Numenorian 19:50, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

Exactly ... it doesn't necessarily mean NPC activity ... in fact, i highly doubt there are any NPCs in Monreoville, just like they are verboten in Malton. But we shall see ... --WanYao 07:14, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
Um.. this stuff should be on the talk page shouldn't it? Also, if you look on there, I already answered this question. Jordan Salafack 07:17, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Maybe these NPCs (if there are any)might be military forces i.e. the military guys who set up the quarntine zone.Maybe there special forces or something just a thought.--Gamestriker4 18:05, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Also Moved

The following Quoted discussion was also moved due to the size of the suburbs making them unfeasible from a practicle standpoint, there's no way they could possibly be concise, informative, up to date, or anywhere near consistently correct.--Karekmaps?! 03:53, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

Barricade Plan

Basic maps gone

It is now just replaced with a small picture, lacking linsk to the other adjacent suburbs.--Kolechovski 18:24, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

Yes, but that is temporally --~~~~ [talk] 19:45, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
Tis better now, but could we somehow blow up the picture a bit? That text is insanely small...--Kolechovski 18:53, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
I don't think so. anyway, this is not the right talk page --~~~~ [talk] 18:57, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

The Dynamic Duo

If you're alive in Oak Hill, watch out for the a living/dead pair. The Living Butcher opens the doors for the Bedtime Butcher. The living took down the cades, then the zombie was there in seconds to kill those inside. Looks like Zerging to me, but it could be meta gaming. Hats off to you, if you're a team. Up yours if you've been cheating. --WhimOrClutters 06:20, 12 April 2008 (BST)
