Hey
Don't know if you are new to this, but you should use this page as your user page, rather than creating a new page for your user page. If you are making a user page for a character, you should create it under your User Namespace, which is just your user name followed by a forward slash followed by your new page title. Feel free to talk to me if you have any issues.--CyberRead240 05:59, 15 July 2008 (BST)
Yes, I'm new to the Wiki
I'm a new user of the Wiki and I want to explore creating text and graphics that are user friendly and fun to read.
I subscribed because of my interest in this UD forum but I am intrigued by the mass community exposure that posting comments and editing can provide.
I will continue this interest during or outside of my role-playing interest Charles Degaulle
08-01-08 I need to list the 2 alt's that I created in Monroeville here.
I started UD on 07-05-08 and created Croc Ostimpy and when he died on 07-07-08 I got busy and created Croc's Son.
Both of these characters have become undead and I continued playing them for only a few days until I read the news that the revivification process would not be made a part of the new monroeville world.
I then created the character Charles Degaulle - the main character that I play in Malton.Charles Degaulle 06:19, 2 August 2008 (BST)
Creating my Character
Thanks for visiting my talk page.
I want to experiment with a lot of the themes and plots in the city of Malton and if you are interested in sharing any experiences or in offering any observations or criticisms then you are in the right place.
Since I'm new I want to practice a few general exercises on this page that will give me more experience to handle bigger topics.
1. I read about a few of the groups that are already established in Malton and I was impressed at the large number of themes already in play in the UD world.
2. I noticed that the UD Wiki had listed a lot of these groups under a general heading of either Human or Zombie groups. One good idea would be to examine the histories of the groups and try to determine if the theme would fit a Human victory, a Zombie victory or some kind of mixture. The large numbers of anti-social players that seem to delight in Nihilistic goals is also a factor in determining what the main body of story might involve.
This isn't supposed to be a critique or a celebration of the themes that might be possessed by groups of any type but a sort of chronicle of the events and places that make up the story of Malton. Charles Degaulle 15:31, 2 August 2008 (BST)
- Hey, sounds like you are attracted to Malton for some of the same reasons I am. ;) The crazy interplay of groups is what's kept me interested in the place.
- I dunno if you can really call it either a survivor or a zombie victory. I think it's more a story of survivors and zombies developing practices and rules, and forming alliances, that have enabled both to survive (and inflict damage on the other side). And then you have the crazy people that don't really fit either the survivor or zombie catatory...like the Quartly Study Group, and all varieties of PKers. Some of whom are indeed antisocial nihilistic agents of chaos...but others of whom portray themselves very much as anti-heroes. Have you checked out the Philosophe Knights or the Spartans yet? ;) --Jen 18:30, 7 August 2008 (BST) (or Kali or Christie...)
- Glad you enjoyed it. ;) It is indeed one of the most amusing groups I've run into. I hope they're still in operation, actually...when The Dead horde came through, they had no respect for the library, and wiped out everybody. :( --Jen 01:04, 14 August 2008 (BST)
