NPOV in Tolly
I didnt know where to put this so for now ill just type this here...Jorm, i realise you are a wiki vet so I wasnt gonna argue with you about your edit ( "Jorm (→Notable Events - Let's just NPOV this. Kind of a pointless addition anyway, but whatever.) " The reason i posted it was to make it clear that there still was decent resistance and the suburb wasnt overrun. People watching your groups progress might have intrest in that (rrf invasion doesnt happen everyday , well, in tolly a bit more but not everyday ;) ). I thought i did it neutral. But explain to me if you will for the sake of argument what is NPOV about : " Survivor casualties are estimated at around 200 at this time." which is clearly a exageration of the truth if any truth at al. I cant speak for all survivors of course but In Pdox may first wasnt bloody (1 casulty orso) and we were present in most parts of the suburb. But the point im trying to make is that its not NPOV but you edit my prehaps pointless but certainly neutral post. Since im a beginner here on wiki I aprieciate your explanation very much :) . --Seen 00:31, 4 May 2006 (BST)
- First, this is *exactly* where to put this discussion.
- Second, I'll comment on the number 200: We actually think it's closer to 400 now. At the time of the 200 edit there had been over 6 safehouses with 20+ people in them cleared and two safehouses with over 50. Even casual math puts that at 200. That may not have been 200 *Paradox* deaths but a suburb does not consist of a single group.
- Fourth, I personally was witness to the deaths of four members of Paradox on May 1st (which is three more than one). I know several others were killed as well.
- Now, to the meat.
- Your original edit stated this:
- The suburb is under heavy attack from the RRF, but stil a lot of the suburb is under human control thanks to many brave survivors and an elite Paradox squad. Of course every building is a potential target of a massive horde attack so proceed with caution. Its not adviced to stay in the suburb, better to come back wenn the EXCURSION moves on.
- There are a couple of issues with this. The obvious wording that makes it POV is the phrase "brave soldiers" but the less obvious one is the impression that the suburb news is designed to aid *survivors*. Were I to write a post that says "Zombies entering the suburb are most likely to find members of Paradox in non-resource buildings that are 2 o 3 AP away from the mall. The revive point is at XX,XX, and but brave brain rotters are now clogging up the pipe," you'd howl, and rightly so.
- I also question the factual accuracy of your post; to be honest, we've seen little, if any, real resistance from Paradox (ever). We've found them and killed them, sure, but I've yet to see any real organization or anything by an "elite Paradox squad" that indicates any resistance. I know they're your group and all, but be honest: Tollyton is a tomb. What few people that breathe there now die within hours. Even at the time of your post, survivors had lost the suburb. The RRF had cracked and destroyed the Mall and over 75% of the suburb. Only in Crazytown is that not a victory. This is why it was edited to "Survivor resistance is still high" (even though I personally didn't think that was true, I threw a bone in) and later to "claimed to be high" (while not my edit, probably more factual).
- The previous day's edit is what makes the addition "pointless"; it had been less than 24 hours since this went in:
- The full weight of the Ridleybank Resistance Front's Group Zero has landed in Tollyton for the "May Day Massacre". Woodroffe Mall has fallen, as have several other safehouses throughout the suburb. Survivor casualties are estimated at around 200 at this time.
- Reading it now, I regret making the "pointless" comment; I can see where you are coming from but at the time, I thought a statement "Largest horde in the game enters 'burb, starts killing everyone" pretty much said exactly what your edit said ("People are dying but still fighting"). Mea culpa.--Jorm 01:43, 4 May 2006 (BST)
- First, Thank you for your quick response :)
- I see, prehaps indeed my post wasnt as npov as i thought it was. And prehaps you did do 200 killings, as i stated i couldnt possibly speak for a entire survivor group in the suburb. I only pointed from what point i can see. The "one pdox killed" is from the reports on our fora revive post. I realise this is not 100% accurate, but still if 4 is true its still nicely low (nice for us). Also in the following days your killing got far more efficient so i dont claim after may 1st casutlies werent rising.
- About our abilities to resist a far larger group wouldnt be my place to say. Im a mere soldier, these tactical things are above me. But from mpov the odds seem unqual at best. So keeping building barricaded and people alive counts at least as "resistance" imo (we are not claiming victory here :D), no? Not to provoke you, but my main character (Fred Bronson) has not left the suburb, has to die yet and is keeping barricades up and zombies dead as much as he can. You did manage to kill my alt in Roftwood though... I know this is very minor but he is not alone and sees others do the same. But thats why we play this game right? You to destroy humans, we to try to do our best to survive :D
- Hoping you will leave the suburb soon ( ;-) ) ill sign --Seen 10:43, 4 May 2006 (BST)

Although my account has only been playing a short while (I was previously Splurgy, but lost that password way back in 2005), I can't help but notice that Tollyton is a lot less safe. As much as it pains me to see a potential exit from the SSH, I must say that Tollyton does now have a reasonable zombie population. Why, today, I was passing by a monument and there were 10 zombies! Most of the buildings are now EHB and there's few people out and about. In my hospital, there's 44 people all sheltering from the zombies. Do you suppose we should upgrade to yellow? --DrBowman 14:27, 23 June 2007 (BST)
I happened to notice you said on June 11th there was only one breakin. That would be incorrect as I know me and a few other zombies broke into and ate a factory [61,64] and there were a few others within a few blocks. --Dipcup 17:39, 12 July 2007 (BST)
Huh?!
WTF is up with this template:

Is Errington Crescent still an RP?
I noticed that Errington Crescent (66, 66) is "the official RP of the Tater Red Crewe." The TRC appears to be inactive and their page is marked for speedy deletion. Is this still an active RP, or should I move on? (Errington is also the only RP in Tollyton, so this could be a problem.)
- I believe it is still Tollyton's RP, since it's 1N of The Rayfield Building. The reference to the Tater Red Crewe can be removed though. --Benigno SSZ RCC 04:06, 8 July 2008 (BST)
- Having been in the area for the last few weeks I can confirm that Errington Crescent is still an active revive, if a little slow currently due to increased Z attacks --C Whitty 19:23, 7 June 2009 (BST)

Great Suburb Group Massacre 2010
All suburb wiki pages are undergoing a clean up to remove inactive groups from the group listing (see here: this suburb's groups). If you are a group currently listed in this suburb, you will be contacted on your group's talk page within the next few days and asked to reply, indicating that you are active in this suburb. Groups that fail to reply within two weeks of being contacted will automatically be removed from the suburbs where they are listed.
We're posting here in the hopes that more groups will be aware of the clean up and can respond appropriately, since our team does not have the time nor the manpower to seek out every group in-game or track down its group members elsewhere on the wiki. If you know that some groups in your suburb do not check the wiki, please be a good neighbor and let them know that they NEED to check it for this, or else they will be unlisted in the near future.
The wiki members coordinating the cleanup will be using the table below to track their progress in communicating with the various groups. Please do not edit it if you are not involved with The Great Suburb Group Massacre 2010 team.
