Spent a couple days searching for ammunition and only found a couple of clips and a couple of spent shotgun shells. Not as much as I'd like, but enough. Jogged over to Broadbelt today to check up on their situation. It was just as they'd said, fifty or more zeds walking, but they're holding out pretty well. I dropped two with my Colt 1911, though I did get a bit fancy and burned one badly with a flare I launched. Not humane, no, but these things aren't human. Hell, they're not even dead. I don't think they deserve humane treatment, with the way they rip a man's entrails out while he writhes on the ground in pain. Bastards deserve everything they get.

Made my way back to Cotty St. Precinct after that and reported on the situation at BGPD. Checked St. Luke's real quick, but there were only a couple of zeds, but plenty of dead bodies. I dodged around the zeds and ducked into the PD through a partially barricaded window. No ambushes for me, today.

I'm still hurting from my encounter earlier in the week, and the doc said I should really get some rest, so I'm going to stay put this weekend and just recover my strength. Not a bad deal considering that we just found a keg of Guinness to tap. Yes, it comes in kegs!

Roamed over to Broadbelt PD today, and immediately wished I hadn't. There were at least 30 zeds milling around in front of it, with a few stragglers shambling around Coorte Square and Club Meade. I spotted Maxwell Hammer in the middle of it all, swaying and slowly rotting away. Called it in and confirmed that there was an outstanding warrant on him. I took aim and fired, seriously wounding him. Was just about to deliver the coup de grace when a stinking, slimy hand wrapped around my throat from behind and I felt jaws clamp down on my shoulder. Spun around and pushed the thing away, and saw the thing had friends. High-tailed it back to Cotty, where the last thing I remember was being ambushed by another zed. Woke up in Cotty PD with massive wounds. Chunks ripped out of my right hamstring, a nice gash running from my left shoulder to my belly button, and a bite taken out of my throat. I got lucky.

I'm going back out after the doc fixes me up. I want revenge. I want it now.

Moved from one of our "grocery stores" back to Cotty. Very strange and eerie walk. Not because Malton's been overrun by zombies...but the sheer lack of them. Only 2 of the bastards in front of Cotty! I guess we've been lucky so far--Broadbelt seems to be getting hit hard, and from what I hear on the radio (over the static, that is), it's a vicious fight, and we seem to be losing.

Well, should probably just rest up here for a bit and stock up on ammunition before throwing myself into the hellish fray. Goodness...all I can think of is the snapping and cracking of bones, and the sound of wet sinew being rended with a sickly ripping sound. Kind of like when one rips apart a steak with one's own hands, I suppose. Brings a whole new perspective to being a carnivore. Shit, I need a beer. Better yet, get me the fuck out of here.

Plans

• Restock on ammunition (29 rounds remaining).
• Constantly patrol the Cotty PD Precinct for Zeds and other undesirables.
  • Paint the wall with their brains using my .45 caliber paintbrush.
• Maintain proper barricade levels in the precinct.
• Render aid as can be supplied to any non-PKer survivor.
• Be on call to other areas of Dunell Hills in emergency situations.
