Locations Pages
If you're going to start a page for a location, at least use the 9-block template to start.--_Vic D'Amato__Dead vs Blue_ 19:13, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
- Ah, ok. Thought you were just some moron trying to be cute. In that case, keep up the good work. Eventually we'll have every location in the city 9-blocked.--_Vic D'Amato__Dead vs Blue_ 03:07, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
Moved Your Character Page
Just so you know, I've move your page Jed Case to User:Cuinn/Jed Case because character pages belong in the User namespace not the main namespace. If you have questions let me know and if you want to know more about about namespaces check out UDWiki:Namespaces. Vantar 07:20, 25 March 2007 (BST)
- Sorry about the mix up, your name was the only one in the edit history so I assumed it was yours, the page is now at User:Jed Case Vantar 18:54, 25 March 2007 (BST)
From Duke Cage
Hey Alice, I'm currently returning from Central Malton to due some visiting in the area and to take care of a situation regarding a character named "Fleshspotter". He's been terrorizing the area apparently with the group tag of TZH. This of course will result in a serious ass bruising.
Any information on his whereabouts or a simple link to his profile is more than appreciated.
Always love your guys' work,
Duke Cage
Grrrr!

- Huh, that's weird. Well, in that case I'd recommend you shoplift a copy of FireFox or just don't worry about filling up Recent Changes. Oh, and you should really sign your posts. Click the button 2 from the right, above the editing window, to sign. And if you want it to say "Alice Cuinn" when you click said button, go to Special:Preferences, check 'raw signatures' and put [[Alice Cuinn]] in the nickname box. With Regards to the Sacred Ground Postings
You have posted the profile for one Kitsu kun on both the Sacred Ground Policy Breakers page and in the Cemetery 38,73 page. I do not suppose the fact that he is new to Malton and was likely unaware of the Sacred Ground policies matters? The boy is barely near 4th level. He has been murdered a few times already. I cannot help but wonder if your giving him "outlaw" status has contributed to that. I will speak to him on the matter at hand, but I request that he be removed from the lists. Ms. Cuinn, if you wish to take your frustrations out on someone for being shot at a cemetery, come and find me. --Bette Noir 6 May, 2007
May I plead My case
Ms. Cuinn, if you don't mind me asking, on what grounds are you basing my addition to the sacred ground policy breaker's list.
From what I've heard the policy states that one should not kill or attack Zombies at cemeteries, as most are after revives. I have neither attacked or killed anything at a cemetery.
I will admit that I attacked a corpse in a church north of the cemetery I remember it giving me just enough xp to allow me my third level Even so I couldn't kill it, not enough AP
But I avoided the cemetery as I was following some friends and tried to avoid being outside, fearing overbarricading may lock me out.
I know as of yet I am nothing more than a newbie, and aside from today have only heard of the sacred ground policy.
But even so I would very much like to know why I've been listed, as I, alike Ms. Noir, have the sneaking suspicion that the reason I've been running into so many murderouse survivors is because of that list.
Sincerely Kitsu kun ----5/6/07
- Problem is, I saw you kill a zombie IN the cemetery . Saw it myself, that's how I could click on the link to the character profile. (If you didn't attack/kill someone right in front of me, you wouldn't have appeared as a clickable link on my screen.) BTW, "Kitsun", your writing style is stikingly similar to "Bette Noir". Careful that people don't confuse you two; you might want to look up "zerging" if you're not sure why. - Alice Cuinn
- Strange, I know I wasn't at the cemetery, never saw a reason to go. But then how could that've happened? No one could've logged in under my name, no one but me uses this computer. Unless you count hat time I showed my friend the ropes of UD, even so. He had is own character.
- But thanks for the warning, I will try to avoid sounding like my friends.
- If you don't mind me asking when did I attack a corpse in the cemetery? I know that april 11th-17th I wasn't even in my homestate, Which would be the only time someone could have gotten on my computer without my knowing so. And I was murdered soon after, only very recently revived, maybe a day or so before meeting Bette and the others, I cannot give an exact date on this though
OK, enough. I have to have seen you take the action to have the link to your profile show up on my screen. There is no other way to get to your profile. Since I've played this character as high up as she can get, I don't need XP, so all I do is go to cemetery, revive people, go to NT building, get syringes, go back to cemetery, ad infinitum. You know, things to make the game fun for new people. I have no reason to be trying to single you out. You're obviously going to argue this into the ground because you've decided that the list must be causing your problems, not anything about your playing style... just like it's not your fault that your character killed a zombie, maybe someone logged in under you ... or a computer error of some kind??? Dude, it's a game, learn the rules and play accordingly, and don't whine about it. That being said, I'll take you off the lists, because you're wasting my time. I wrote up a list for you, the Policies of Politeness - go read it, and please no more of this drama. --Alice Cuinn 16:45, 7 May 2007 (BST)
- Ms. Cuinn,
- If I may address but a few points?
- 1) I do not know Kitsu-kun outside of the game, nor AM I him. He is speaking formally due to the cirucumstances. I speak formally all of the time. I have been playing for some time, HE has not and is likely unaware that some highly wound individuals are likely to lob accusations of zerging just for speech patterns.
- 2) I have been playing Urban Dead for well over a year and a half and this is the first time I've heard of your "Policies of Politeness." Some people do not scour the wiki looking for new unofficial rules. (And yes, just because they are on the wiki does NOT make them official rules. The only real rules are what the game allows.) Shocking as it may seem, some players do not even metagame at all! I know! They must be hunted down and shot!
- 3) I do appreciate your removing him from the list and opening the discussion regarding the implications of the Sacred Ground Breakers list. Especially since the last person who killed the boy appears to be affiliated with a group that has a prominent Sacred Ground banner on their page.
- Apologies for further wasting your time. Good day.
- --Bette Noir 21:24, 7 May 2007 (BST)
- Alice Cuinn, nice to see that you have a polite way of dealing with users on your page who are discussing issues in a polite manner, perhaps you should peruse your own policies, which, I note, you only created on the same day you directed these people to. I'd just like too say, that this kind of attitude promotes more elitism and bad attitude then getting killed at a Graveyard by some poor low-leveller that doesn't know better, and certainly hasn't stumbled across a bunch of 'policies' that have no bearing in the game further then that assigned by those such as yourself.
- --Turner Calton 21:52, 7 May 2007 (BST)
Re: Kitsun Kun - You know, I have no problem with him saying, "Hey, I was new, I didn't know." I would have removed him from the SGPB list immediately, and said so at the beginning of this conversation. What I have a problem with is the conversation taking three days over three different people's talk lists about how (because of me) he's getting killed repeatedly over this list, (I only put him on last week), it's not his fault, it has nothing to do with how he plays, he wasn't even in town the week he thinks I saw his character .... I put that page of policies up this morning in direct response to him saying that he didn't know them (not posted anywhere else except in that talk block). The thing is, the only people who are going to be interested in policies and lists are the people reading this wiki. The only people who might have treated him differently because he was on the SGPB list are the people reading this wiki. It's not like his name was spraypainted on billboards in Malton. You read the wiki, you care about the metagame, so don't snark at me about caring about the metagame, please. I saw him do something once, for which I put him on a list of people who did that, only veiwable by people who read the list, for which I've had three days of drama. You have to pick one - either you don't care about the wiki stuff, the metagame, in which case don't read it, or you do care about it, in which case don't fault me for playing according to those guidelines. --Alice Cuinn 22:16, 7 May 2007 (BST)
- Thank you for rescinding your [death threat] regarding the Politeness Policies. The reason I came across the listing of his name at all was due to running a search on the wiki, trying to determine why he might be hunted. Otherwise, other than occasional safety or informational entry, no, I do not particularly care.
- There is a bit of a flaw in your arguement, you state:"either you don't care about the wiki stuff, the metagame, in which case don't read it, or you do care about it, in which case don't fault me for playing according to those guidelines" - regardless of whether or not it pertains to this particular case: Whether one metagames or not does not control whether their name is put on a list - particularly one with consequences open to interpretation. You cannot "pick one," as you suggest, very easily. --Bette Noir 23:00, 7 May 2007 (BST)
Support for the Many Policy Police
Alice some of us are with you. Some of us, like this Bette Black (please, like Noir is supposed to be some kind of classy thing?) Think that they can hide their poison with courtesy. Well I say it's about time that someone has taken a stand, a stand for decency, politeness and fair play. (please cue pomp and circumstance, and adjust the flag)...In any event, these people need to be accountable to someone, if we are to have a civil war. Just because this is a zombie apocalypse there is no reason to go around being disrespectful to others. Now I propose, that we form a group, maybe something like the Soldiers of Decency. We'll just call them SOD for short, we establish one of these groups in each suburb and begin to flush out those who are opposed to our way of thinking. We might even be able to get them in one suburb? Or is that wishful thinking?
It seems to me that Bette is the perfect person to make an example of. I happen to know that she regularly uses drugs in game, as well as encourages graffti...and on good authority she is known to be "affectionate" shall we say, with many different gentlemen...Alice, this is our chance! One man in the right place at the right time can change the course of history! Alice you can be that man! (or woman as the case may or may not be).--John Blast 22:07, 7 May 2007 (BST)
- Too funny. I think that there's a far cry from saying, "I agree with a lot of the policies that other people wrote, and hey, I'm going to play a certain way" and saying "everyone else needs to play my way." If you don't want to play that way, don't. It's just a game. --Alice Cuinn 22:16, 7 May 2007 (BST)
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much!, and I mean that. I would also like to apologize for any inconveniences. Mainly the three chat page chat/controversy thing that branched from this. I am also sorry if I ever got on your nerves or offended you.
Oh, and I am deeply sorry if it seemed like I was blaming you for all of the attacks sent my way I don't hold grudges like that, and even if I did, you were only trying to help. And never intended for things like that to happen.
I am also sorry for being the spark that ignited a few... less than friendly remarks, really I meant you no ill will!
Sincerely--Kitsu 23:20, 7 May 2007 (BST)
P.S.- now that I know exactly what the sacred ground policy, along with the other policies of politeness are. I will be sure to follow them.

Regarding Greentown's barricade policy
I have two things I would like to discuss about greentowns barricade policy. The first is, when stroling about in said town i found every single building to be at EHB, nothing below it. In the other towns in the area, people follow the barricading plan closely. This is sort of a threat to newbies, and I was wondering if you know of a way to get this plan out more to the residents.
The seond, is regarding a new revive point in greentown. It is being oppened by the Blythville gang, and I was wondering if you would be kind enough to add it to the barricading policy. The place is 'north square'. Thanks in advance--Brendoshi 11:14, 3 June 2007 (BST)
- We're aware that a lot of folks are 'cading places to EHB wihtout regard to the policy, or to those without free running. The Green Street Elite is currently working on this, tagging buildings with the suggested barricade level so people will know, and pulling down barricades at entry points to VSB. I don't know that we can do more than that. As far as the second revive point, there's no color tag in the barricade policy map for revive points. I didn't create the template, it just doesn't have one. You're welcome to add a note the the wiki page for that block, that would be your best bet. On a personal note, we so rarely have a line in the Greentown cemetery, why are you manning a second spot? --Alice Cuinn 18:10, 3 June 2007 (BST)
Infact, this is our fith spot. We get bored easily, and the speed of the revive points has really gone downhill, leaving most of us bored. The group decided to open another revive point in hope of getting /somone/ for once. Seem like i'm leading this one. So far we have two in south blythville, one in north, one in dartside and now the one in Greentown. Its just to keep us busy really. Thanks for replying so quickly.--Brendoshi 20:03, 3 June 2007 (BST)
- I understand. Once you've got all the skills, what's there to do for your character? That's why we picked one suburb and do all kinds of "civic" work here. Gives us something to do in game. :) --Alice Cuinn 21:12, 3 June 2007 (BST)
Location Pages
I noticed the rather large number of location pages you made today, just please don't forget to add categories when you go back and 9 block them all. - Vantar 23:04, 4 June 2007 (BST)
- Yes, sir. :) I've been working on them more today, adding descriptions, and will work more tonight. --Alice Cuinn 23:09, 4 June 2007 (BST)
profile data
How do you put your profile data in your user page? Looks pretty neat, could you give me the template please? And good luck in Greentown. Always hard fighting against warriors of Holy Barhah. --Raja Ram 04:17, 7 July 2007 (BST)
- -Thanks for the link. :D --Raja Ram 07:08, 7 July 2007 (BST)
Love and Respect from the Quartly Librarians
Hullo Mz. Cuinn ! This is Sir Fred, the more polite and less violent member of the QSG. I ran ahead of my fellow literates to the Cleal Library to discuss in person what our tour was all about. I spoke with a fine gentleman, the last member of SSK. Yet, I have not met any of the GSE. I hope we haven't gotten off on the wrong foot... Sir Fred of Etruria 16:31, 6 August 2007 (BST)
- Upon further reflection and research I've realized you are the only other person I know to have read The Moon is a Harsh Mistress. Heck, I'm the only one to have read Have Spacesuit Will Travel. I also appreciate the Dictionary, although my favorite is the Webster's 1957 edition... for the pictures and linguistic derivations. Keep reading, keep researching, and keep yourself radical. Sir Fred of Etruria 00:08, 10 August 2007 (BST)
- I've been looking all over for that new Spider Robinson book, but alas... I haven't found it yet. By what miracle did you locate it ? Speaking of miracles, I've heard rumour of a broadcast tv version of Terry Prachett's HogFather... Have you experienced aforementioned genius ? Sir Fred of Etruria 06:45, 25 August 2007 (BST)
- I actually picked it up a at a used bookstore. I have heard about Hogfather, but haven't seen it yet. I'm hoping they release it on DVD. --Alice Cuinn 17:20, 29 August 2007 (BST)
